Balance Team

You guys don't give Riot enough (or any) credit. They are good at balancing. Balancing. BALANCING. Kassadin was utterly broken, in every game you played, and then he got balance. He's not broken anymore, but because that's the benchmark people have set for him, people have decided he's gutted. Gragas was unreasonably oppressive. He was designed with tanking in mind, but the community saw his ratios and thought "I'm the Devil!" You could either get nuked by his barrel, nuked by his ult, or belly bumped then nuked. And when you finally thought you killed him, he drank some ale and lived. And now that he's been reeled back, he's "gutted." They don't nerf things because they're dickheads that want to enforce certain champs, they just don't want certain champs to be oppressive. Like Kassadin. Like Gragas. They want every champ to have a chance. And like it or not, that means that they're going to add counter play to abilities. Veigar's changes are very reasonable. His cage isn't an insta-stun so he can walk up and deliver 3 different nukes while you stand there dumbly. Lee Sin is not OP, he's very beatable. Karthus is not going to be nerfed because he won one freaking game. Karthus isn't oppressive. You can see where his Q is and his other abilities are reasonable. Give Riot some credit guys. You may now downvote and flame me.

Yup his changes last patch that made his win rate fall to 35% definitely shows he was not completely gutted

Yeah, but they have buffs lined up for him already..

He shouldn't have gotten gutted in the first place. I like the new E's warning, but the fact that Riot didn't even remove the cast time on it to compensate, and people defend their actions is absolutely laughable.

I agree they shouldn't have gutted him too. They already explained they didn't want to make too many changes too soon, and admitted he's underpowered so he's got buffs lined up next patch. Compared to some champions who get gutted and then left there. I am thankful at least they are doing something right away rather than let him rot. Even Kass is getting amped back up again next patch.

Holy shit you are actually serious. Veigar's stun had counterplay because it stuned you only on the ring. Kassadin wasn't oppressive and dealt 0 damage until he had 3 items. Completly retarded

Just like Riven did 0 damage until she had Ravenous. The point is, it was only a matter of time before Kass got rolling, killed everyone and dashed everywhere, with no hope of catching him. That's the actual definition of oppressive.

I'm sorry riven has no damage until Ravenous? Her 3 Q with animation canceling+passive take out 1/2 of your hp at lvl 3. Again what the heck? I Literally never had a Kassadin who Killed everyone

Garages got gutted... He can't even clear caster minions with his barrel, building FULL AP. That's broken. Riven can do that with just her q...

You know, that is some very thoughtful insight.

That being said, Zed still needs a nerf.

I really have never had an issue with champions being op. Instead of bitching like most people when playing fiora top against yorick, or against a morgana mid, or leblanc or whoever people scream "OP broken af" at, i use my fucking brain and figure out how to win. It's called strategy people... stop bitching, grow up, and tell riot to stop nerfing because the level 12s all cant play against kat

Honestly, I've heard very few people complain about Gragas's changes. Frankly, he was sleeper OP for a good while after his rework, and even with some nerfs he's still fairly strong (not to mention he has buffs coming in). In Veigar and Kassadin's cases, I understand what they were going for, they just overshot. Kinda easy to do when the champions they're balancing are just balls of stats with some utility thrown in.

People are just disregarding how much his mid game has been buffed if they double stack his Q, as intended. And it's not even that hard to land his stun still.

Veigar only needs to spend an extra hour farming that 200 ap to get his ult to do the same damage as he would before.

Also, good veigars never bothered focusing q farming.
