why is every brand new player that makes an account getting silver 3 after playing for like 30 days and then inting 10 ranked games?
this is 100% a disruption, no one who is brand new can ever play in that elo in their first month or two of playing

They don't have equal probability to win, you MAY be able to win games in bronze 4 at best when you're a brand new player of 30 days with no previous moba experience
silver 3 is the average for most players, but most players have played the game for longer than a month. ive seen two people maybe who can carry in silver 3 or even hold their own in their first year and they're fucking prodigies
i don't know where the right place to stick them is, but provisionals should not be done with ranked players, and we shouldn't be dumping all new players into silver
it's no fucking wonder silver players actually believe their wins are based on chance, in a lot of games they actually are. i'm not even in silver, but i was playing flex and my team had a brand new player on it in the top lane, who went malphite and had 14 cs by 10 minutes
i am not mad at these players, i'm mad at the system, it discourages all parties involved from wanting to play ranked or take it seriously.

Maybe they played 2-3 months of normals before ranked and got lucky in their placement games, so Riot would literally place them in gold. Like really Riot? No new account should be placed in gold, I know players who are in gold and probably played like 15 ranked games total, while some people bust their ass to get there. It's rediculous.

Trishifer3 votesYea I support this because it happened to me. I started ranked in Season 5 and got placed in Silver IV in the middle of the season, my highest was Silver II but ended in Silver III. When I got placed in Bronze V in season 6 I thought something was wrong and tried to climb back to Silver but ended in Bronze II. After all that I reflected on my games and saw things I could have done better. I got placed in Bronze V again to start Season 7 but I am currently Silver IV. I honestly think placing new players in Silver is a bad idea because they get cocky, like me. Personally I think every account should start at Bronze V so everyone climbs out of Bronze, because if you can climb from Bronze V to Silver, you should have learned decent mechanics. map awareness, communication, shot calling, etc.

Had a Sivir the other day that built Ghostblade into 2 Crit items and then bought brown boots...all the time whilst inting AND DC'ing throughout the game.
Oh and they started at the enemy blue buff...I'm not joking.
Honestly seeing these players makes me stop trying. Why should I have to give them a free ride or put up with them? What's the point carrying them if they're just gonna make whoever's in their next match miserable.

1 players start at 0 mmr B5, remove 1k from everyone. 2 stop smurfing cuase your ruining (Some) peoples promos before you climb out. 3 fix some of the team balencing due to MMR discrepencys.

They halved the EXP required for level 30, so the average skill level of a fresh 30 should be more like Bronze 3. Because if that's what the new silver 3 is then all of my silver 5 friends play on gold 5 level.

typical eu post, i'm not in silver, i'm playing on a gold smurf and am still getting matched with brand new silvers, they're actually in provisionals in high silver / low gold

If you play league for at least 2 seasons you should not be below gold considering how easy it is to climb with meta picks. this isnt season 2-3 where everyone had their pocket pick adn you had to learn how to play against 5-6 champs in lane by ppl who mastered them. Also there are no champion masters below diamond.
