Diana: Gunblade, or Protobelt?

I'm not taking neither for an answer. If you had to take one, which would be better?

Protobelt. Gunblade is incredible early and falls off super hard late. Protobelt provides the same AP, same active damage, but also gives CDR, and health.

This. Also Protobelt offers her another way to get closer to opponents if she fails a Q-R combo and loses access to her ult.

gunblade should be better , because late game , she will need to land autos and as long as you buy item 3115 , you will get faster healing .

Actually, unless you're playing jungle and need the increased clear speed from the 3rd auto, never build Nashor's. While the AP and CDR is nice, for an extra 200g, you can just get Ludens which guarantees you kill an enemy before you can even land an auto + plus the bonus MS which is great for her.

Why not Lich Bane?

Hell, get a Deathcap, it's better for AP.

Also Diana cannot kill someone without auto'ing unless she's super fed...?

Lich Bane is good too, hell you can even get both, I just listed Luden's because I like getting it one her.

Lol, no fam. QWRR, kills any squishy until late game, which is when you get Lich Bane so you can finish them off with it.

Well I'm a shit Diana then.

Nah, I'm sure you're pretty good. It's just that these aren't really good times for her. Everyone and their mother has added toughness crammed onto them via buildpaths, teammates or just inherent in their kits, so she can't reliably get those blink of the eye one shots.

Well I just played another Diana game, going item 3027 item 3285 item 3135 item 3089 item 3100 , and I got to pull off those oneshots.

The enemies were pretty squishy though, only Xin gave me a bit of trouble (and Morg's Black Shield).

I should use that build more often.

I would go for Protobelt because Diana has an excellent kit for getting into melee to blast them to death. It also grants more health which is a great defensive stat for a diver like Diana.

item 3152 all the time, health and CDR far outclasses anything Gunblade could ever offer on Diana.

Gunblade for raw power, protobelt for snowballing. Gunblade can be great once completed for taking trades then healing up, while protobelt allows you more range if you can already 100-0.

Depends on your build and playstyle.

Protobelt is safer and better generally.

Gunblade can be better if you want a faster but riskier snowball.

Gunblade doesn't synergyze very well with Diana's kit, most of her damage is AOE so the healing is only 1/3 effective. She's not like Akali, who has a lot of single target burst.

Depends if you're going burster or deeps.

For the former it is protobelt, for the latter it is gunblade.
