I'm sorry but 25 minute queues for the same thing as last season is ridiculous

I would understand a 25 minute queue if it was because they're matching you with people who don't have a history of trolling, etc, but 25 minute queues for the same kind of game as we had last season with a 3 minute queue for is ridiculous.

I know Riot worked really hard on this, but I preferred the old system. Queue times were shorter and there were less dodges.

Because if you're 5th pick last time, and you dodged you wouldn't guarantee that you're going to get your main role the next time you queue. If your main role is mid (like most of the dodgers), your chances of getting mid is probably about 30% - most of the time 1st pick gets mid and sometimes 2nd pick. But now if you get your 2ndary choice, and you dodge, you have a good 50% chance of getting your main role the next time you queue. So more people feel incentivized to dodge.

People for the most part aren't dodging, they're just not locking in like an idiot, causing auto dodges.

It's OK because you get punished every time for it and this teaches them to not forget

Give it time. Eventually all the idiots who can't read will have enough iterations to learn their lesson. It's probably a few weeks for it to really drop reasonably, with a few outliers for a while yet.

"wtf i didnt want top" -a summoner has disconnected.

sure he forgot to lock in.

I have yet to see this. I have seen at least half a dozen matches fail due to obvious non-locking in.

I think dynamic Que is a good thing with a lot of potential but I believe there are some things we can improve upon. We can find how to improve by first looking at the cons of dynamic que and finding ways to get rid of them.

The cons to dynamic que are primarly long Que times and dodges. The ques are long because people dodge and they dodge because they need to choose two roles and don't always get the role they want but two role option is needed to keep everyone from choosing the same role and making que times long.

So my proposed fix is to make a fix that is similiar to the aram point system. This system will give people points after playing games These points will allow a person to choose only one role for a Que. You can penalize these points to people who dodge games.

What this will do is several things

  1. It fixes the dodging problem, this is done primarily because it fixes the reason of why poeple dodge which is not getting there role and if people get penalized in a way that gets rid of the points which gives them the role they won't dodge as much.

  2. it still keeps the 2 option system which is pretty crucial to keep que times short but allows people to get 1 option when they really want a specific role at X time and don't feel like doing anything else.

Edit: To be honest I really like the Dynamic Que because I like to play mid but never liked fighting over everyone else to play mid so I almost never got to play it because so many people can't think of doing something else. It's literally insane that there's so many people who have the mindset of mid or feed.

I just said "pref mid but can fill" every game and got mid like 60% of the time. That was high silver low gold.

Maybe if we had a choice.

We could choose 1 role and maybe have a longer queue time or choose 2 roles or more and have shorter queue times.

Or just go by pick order and conversation like we did two weeks ago.

The very first queue I had was 30 min. I was like wtf. Every queue after that has been between 2 and 5 minutes. Maybe give it time?

I've been having 30 min queues forever since people started dodging more often whenever they get their secondary role.

In Master tier and up its not uncommon to have had average queue times of up to 10 or even 20 minutes depending on time of day. Prior to the new changes.
