I think complete champion reworks are stupid.

I'm not talking about visual overhauls, those are pretty amazing.

But im talking about aatrox, akali, warwick, mordekaiser, etc.

if a kit is toxic, keep them like you have kept azir and move onto a new champion. Don't take away my old champion, change it and then GUT that as well, for fucks sake.

Partial reworks and mechanic updates are fine, (ex. twitch Q/ashe Q/etc) If you want new mechanics make new champions.

People are so bitter. For every one they hate, there's been SHIT TONS that have been major improvements over the original designs. Such as Evelynn Sion Nunu Kayle Poppy Taric Urgot Yorick. And yes, I would MOST DEFINITELY include Warwick in that lot too. His rework greatly improved him, and in general has been considered one of the most well received reworks to date.

Reworks can actually help a champion. From what i hear aatrox is good now. I do hate the Warwick rework. its kinda garbo.

Complete champion reworks is one reason why a lot of people quit this game. Many people have invested thousands of hours into a single champion and riot basically deletes the champion and makes a new one because it does not play like the old one at all.

Not to mention the new champion design is always more toxic than the old one. I don't get why they don't just do absolutely nothing to the old champions that got reworked and make a new champion altogether.

The swain rework is an utter failure, they made him into a generic spam mage like vlad but worse, and his playrate is nonexistent.

People are OK with other players getting shit on by Riot as long as it isn't anyone they play

I agree, for me all reworks should be Ezreal level.

Where's Morgana "Sex Toy" Visual Update? the worst thing done after butcheringAatrox and let's not talk how biased they are from revertingLeblanc rework, but not Morgana "Sex Toy" VU.

This post is true, and for those who disagree I suggest you guys watch Doublelift's video about releasing too many patches and players can't keep up to the META. It might help you understand it.

Some champions need complete overhauls, though, usually because their playstyle/kit is extremely toxic or oppressive and Riot is forced to keep them weak before they can get a rework (think old Yorick and old Urgot), while others simply don't really deliver on their fantasy that well (Believe it or not that was one of the main reasons Aatrox got reworked, players really enjoyed his theme but his gameplay was boring and didn't really reflect his lore as well as some people like to think and his low playrate was proof of that. He needed to become overpowered for people to actually start playing him like 3 weeks before the rework hit live.).

Yeah it's pretty lame when you spend over 5 years playing your favorite champ, but then they get removed from the game forever. Then they get replaced by a champ that's completely different, but has the same name that is more toxic than the previous iteration and then gets gutted. Then you're left with a champ that everyone hates, plays completely different from the old one, and also sucks to play. Partial reworks are great when done well, but complete overhauls suck for the original mains.

Unlucky

Depends on on the champ IMO. For example reworked Leblanc was good for me because of wave clear. I managed to get MR 7 on her reworked kit. Old Shaco was better IMO. Galio rework was just meh.
