why doesnt morde and sated devourer go together?

I understand why riot would not want this item to work with morde's mace of spades but technically it should... so why does it not work with mordekaisers mace of spades? all other empowered auto attack mechanic's work with it.

It's special. Items that normally reset your autos won't for Mace of Spades either. They obviously wanted to curb its power this way.

Apparantly the way his Q is coded is extremely buggy. It also reduces spellvamp to AOE effectiveness despite being entirely single target.
