WW pbe

  • Hunter's Call [W] - Duration lowered to 6 seconds (down from 10)
  • Infinite Duress [R] - Damage is now 150/250/350 and lifesteal gained is now 30% (down from 250/335/420)

Good they nerfing him but isn't this a little bit extreem. Also because they nerf Hunter's Call with it. Maybe they could buff his E to compensate?

Warwick needs a rework; as long as his ult applies on hit effects, it'll be broken as all hell with the new jungle items, especially Skirmishers.

His kit is ancient and he needs to be a lot less binary.

+1 for the spirit of the post, but I don't fully agree with you here.

Warwick is supposed to be an entry level champion. His kit is simple, straightforwards, and introduces you to various mechanics of the game in a way that's easy to use. Lifesteal, attack speed steroids, on hit effects, all focuses of his kit presented in furry, neat little package for your understanding.

Right now the problem is that he's so easy that he requires no effort to do well with, and so it's causing an issue when higher leveled players are abusing him for the sake of padding their winrates and KDAs.

The concept of keeping champion difficulty down for the sake of 'entry champs' has always struck a nerve with me. I understand that new players shouldn't be overwhelmed with knowledge, but we can't just leave kits like this sit here and collect dust. Warwick should, imo, be defined as 'THE most sustainable jungler', regardless of kit. This way, the rework should allow him to stay healthy in the jungle (and letting new players learn the jungling basics) but adds depth into more than just 'ping someone, run into lane, R them, gg free kill'.

If you notice, people who win matches with those sorts of champions generally aren't considered as skilled players. You don't see many Warwicks or Yis in high ELO play, or during LCS matches unless it's for a very specific reason.

Why?

Because doing well with them isn't an indication of skill. It means you're using the basics in a way that only benefits you. Both Yi and Warwick, entry level champions, have little to no utility. The closest is Warwick's ult, but even then that's not so much meant to CC an enemy for the team to capitalize on, it's to CC an enemy to help Warwick win a duel by getting free damage and giving a window to heal from it while they can't retaliate. They aren't good team

Show me an Elise that's going 22/7/5 or a 3/1/18 Nautilus and I'll give you respect as a player.

Show me a Warwick or a Yi "carrying" their team by walking into lane and pressing one or two buttons and I report you for being unskilled.

This is why I really wanted his rework to happen before something like this came along. I don't get why he isn't a top priority on the rework list when all it takes is a single item and a slight change to the jungle to make him ridiculously broken.

The problem with these nerfs is they do not solve his main issue. Since they reverted the nerfs to devourer he is still going to be one shotting squishies even after these nerfs. You nerf him too much he becomes frustrating to play as and an undesirable pick.

The real issue with his ult right now is not necessarily the on-hit effects it's the lack of counterplay combo'd with the bugs it currently has. QSS doesn't stop the damage (I swore it did at one point) and neither does disrupiting/CC'ing him out of it. I have even ulti'd and flashed immediately and still got the kill because all 5 ticks of damage still applied long after I was gone. I would honestly rather see them do a mini rework on his ulti before they gut it to tie him over until his rework no one knows when is going to happen and how far off.

No, he's broken.

You think its good that they're nerfing him when WW isn't the problem You and Meta are part of why this game doesn't get balanced properly.

An extremely high winrate compared to other junglers using Devourer says otherwise.

And the very second WW falls out of favor, another AA champion is going to skyrocket because of that item.

Cale0171 votes

Not really. The other AA based junglers are holding about the same as they were with Feral Flare honestly. Perhaps even a bit lower since anything they had that scaled off of AD (Nocturne's Q and ult, Rengar's Q, Shyvana's Q) are now scaling just a little bit less. And while their auto attacks are dealing bonus magic damage, they aren't itemizing to increase that magic damage, they're itemizing to increase the main source of their damage in their AD. It stacks endlessly, but it isn't gaining any penetrations or reductions as opposed to Warwick, on whom a Wit's End is quickly becoming standard.

Warwick is currently "overpowered" due to an items active giving his bonus ult true damage, along with this people are building just to get his ult more damage. Once the item is nerfed, or WW gets his stupid nerfs here will just get replaced by someone else, its the nature of the game.

If the other champions were holding the same, WW wouldn't be any different either, its again, the items active. And Witz End is entirely useless against a team of people with mostly AD, and has always been strong on him, but not that cost effective.

Lowering the damage from his ult isn't going to do much when a lot of the issue is coming from how his ult is applying several on hit effects in a short amount of time. That's what's hurting the most.

No compensation buffs, nerf the cancer to the dirt. He'll still be strong as shit as long as his ult applies on-hit, Devourer+Skirmishers+Wits+Bork will still do a hell of a lot of damage regardless of these nerfs.
