Kalista and Aurelion Sol can have support as their secondary "roles".

First, let's look at Kalista:

Zyra and Ashe have support secondaries because they have vision, Ashe has her Hawk and Zyra has her seeds. Leona has supp secondary because she has a passive that makes allies auto attacks do better. Kalista has an even better vision ability, and an ability to save her ally from danger, finished with an ability to buff allies auto attacks, so she could have supp secondary.

Then, Aurelion:

The reason for Sol is quite unnoticed but bear with me. Syndra has support for her secondary since she has a knockback, but Aurelions ult does the same thing, so I feel like Sol could have support as his secondary.

Could this be a possible way to fill in the secondary roles for Sol and Kalista?

Basically supports are given their designation due to either having substantial base damages, a kit based around supporting their allies, or even just having a good batch of CC.

Zyra, has minor vision with seeds, insane base damages, and a strong CC filled kit, which allows her to thrive as a support on low income.

Ashe, is actually not a very good support, but she has a continuous slow in her kit, with hawkshot that you mentioned, in addition to her ultimate, which is a great engage tool.

Leona has decent base damages, and insane amounts of CC in her kit to setup plays.

Syndra, CC, base damages, you get the picture.

Aurelion Sol's base damages aren't very good, he lacks much in terms of reliable CC, and he definitely won't be able to thrive on low income.

Kalista is a similar situation, but I could see Kalista support working, albeit not optimal, but it could be possible. She would definitely thrive more off of a build with solid income as her scaling is nuts, but still workable.

Actually, Riot decides supports a different way. You're technically right for the most part, but CC has nothing to do with it. Supports have: Knockback Damage Reduction (enemies) Damage increase (allies) Speed increase (allies) Healing (allies) Shielding (allies) Create Terrain (Anivia, Taliyah, etc) Vision (allies)

This is what I've observed supports to have, but CC, such as Twisted Fate (who has vision, so could also be a support) does not count. That is why Annie, Veigar, etc don't have secondaries as supports.
