Jungler win rates

I remember seeing that Volibear was doing really well in jungle, but I never once seen him in a game before the season ended.... but always wondered why he had such a high win rate.

Then new season starts, and all the sudden Warwick has like a 54-55% win rate, which makes me wonder yet again. So I give him a shot, and out of 5 games I have used him 3 of them I just rolled over the enemy team with double digit kills. I remember playing Warwick in the past, and it never felt like he was strong or dominant.... did he get a significant buff that I missed or something?

It just seems odd that certain champs have such high win rates, but maybe I am not skilled enough to understand why.

Your having a bit too much faith in the matchmaking system. Win rates fluctuate ALOT, especially in early preseason. Although WW does have good dragon soloing.

Low pick rate champions might always have high winrates because they are only played by one tricks , and Volibear is an unpopular champion so the sample is too small

Yes, Warwick is incredibly broken and is one of the only champions who wasn't hit negatively by the jungle changes. His average win rate is brought down by how few people play Warwick. Warwick mains have ridiculously win rates atm.

i.e. https://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=parnellyx 52% win rate in S9 76% win rate in pre-season

WW is one of the strongest junglers in this meta. His early game is strong: He clears fast, he roams the map fast, has good dueling and so he has good drake control and good gank potential, but doesn't sacrifice his clear speed. Additionally, hes strong until about 4 items, and what games dont end by 4 items at this point?

They nerfed carry junglers and early gank junglers this season with the jungle changes.
