Well, most of her damage comes from her passive now. Otherwise her damage is relatively low, especially on tanks.
- A neat trick with her passive: If the mark is in a bad spot that you can't really hit, just walk back to your tower, and let them get off your screen. When they do, the passive will reset, and you can get a better spot. This also works when playing against Fiora, so you can use it to make her passive harder / riskier to trigger.
So, when you start out in lane, most of your harass is using Q to pop vitals (the mark from her passive). Your Q will auto-target in this order: Champion with Vital>Champion>Minion that Q will kill>Closest target. So, if your vital is in an easy spot to hit (the front of the enemy. NEVER try for a back vital unless you know you can kill them or get out without taking too much damage), Q in, pop it, and run out -- be careful though, 'cause your Q is coded as a basic attack, and will draw minion agro.
Once you have some items and damage, you can try more advanced combos to try and kill your opponent:
-
Combo 1: Q in, auto, E, auto, auto, Q. The basic Fiora combo. Your Q is a soft AA reset, so you'll auto as soon as you land and the animation stops. Then, your E actually is an AA reset -- so as soon as your first auto lands, pop E and you'll auto again plus slow them. Then just stick to them and you'll auto-crit them, and your Q should be off CD by now, so use it again. -- The entire time of this combo, try to pop vitals.
-
Combo 2 (Against a predictable CC opponent): Q in, auto, W (block their CC), auto, E, auto, auto, Q. This combo only works if you're against an opponent you KNOW will CC you after you dive in, and has predictable CC. Block it, and then beat the hell out of them.
-
Combo 3 (All-in): Q in, auto, E, auto, auto, Q, R, auto, E, auto, auto, Q, W(if necessary), auto, E, auto, auto, Q... Pop every vital you can, and you'll kill just about anyone, granted you attack fast enough and don't die first.
-
Special note: When you get Tiamat, use it after your second swing from E.
General tips:
Remember that Fiora is squishy, and isn't invincible, so you can't just dive in on people and win every duel. She has a pretty high skillcap now, unlike the old Fiora.
As for skill order, I can't actually check it, but make sure to max E>Q>W (getting ult whenever you can). Your Q is just a dash, and doesn't do a lot of damage; it's mostly used for popping vitals and chasing / moving. Your E does a TON of damage, so max it first, and watch as you chunk people away with your free crit.
Triforce is VERY good on Fiora, so I'd highly recommend it if you don't build it.
Remember that your W blocks literally everything except turrets, even ignite and other summs. So if you can predict what the enemy is doing, it will save your life. If you can block a CC, you'll stun them instead of slowing, so try to hit them with the projectile.
So, that basically outlines how to play the new Fiora, and I hope it helped. ^^ If you have any other questions, feel free to ask; I'd be happy to help!
