Visible dodge penalties

Lots of sucky matchups that I'd like to avoid. But not sure how bad I'm going to have to wait for em. Would you please make it so your dodge penalty shows? so you can see when it is reset or not? And also how long it would be if you dodged again?

You're not supposed to dodge at all. The only time it's acceptable is if it's blatant suicide to go into it (entire team is toxic) or something BIG comes up. You are NOT supposed to dodge because it's a "bad matchup". Period. This is Word of God. Riot's own stance (it's in their support section somewhere, in a FAQ).

Therefore, Riot will never make it easier to dodge. They will never tell you exactly what the penalties would be. Because the only time you should dodge is if there is no way you can possibly win. As in your team's names are "Tyler 2" "Tyler 3" "Tyler 4" and "Tyler 5".

and on weekends, this happens MANY TIMES at low elo. people who have literally no clue how to play the game, picking REALLY REALY stupid things. or just plain old trolls. ie: "soraka jungle" level trolls. So dodging should be facilitated more.

I'm in bronze 3/4, max of Bronze 1. I most definitely qualify as low-ELO. I rarely see anything remotely along those lines. Sure, there are a-meta and suboptimal picks, but even finding a regular feeder or AFK is rare (barring Twisted Treeline and Co-op Vs. AI, that is, since those two modes are 80% bots). So it's a huge stretch to say it happens many times for low ELO at all. One in ten matches at the most, closer to one in twenty-five on average.

Assuming a 1/10 at most, and going with @darkdemon653's convenient (yet quite probably false) statistics, that means you can reset the timer three times over between trolls.

And, given your post:

You're caring less about not playing with trolls and more about not being put against someone you don't like to fight. Dodging should be your LAST desperate maneuver to avoid a complete and total train wreck. It is NOT to avoid bad matches. It is not for avoiding playing with unranked players. It is not to avoid a teammate with an off-meta pick. It is a desperate measure to avoid a blatant and overt troll.

completely wrong. I am talking SOLELY about idiots on MY OWN team.

For example, just today, some asshat picked... /drumroll ... riven support.

Dodging is mostly important for the autofill trolls these days.

I get trolls like that sometimes BACK TO BACK on weekends

You have to play three matchmade games in a row to reset the dodge timer penalty.
