question from a new bronze bad jungler trying to be less bad and less bronze

Hey guys, ive recently found a love for wukong, mostly because i got the underworld skin in a chest

And i've looked at my champ pool, and realized that while i have been attempting adc it's probably not something i should main.

So i'm looking into jungling, and my biggest fear is poor prioritization and strategy

my question is: as a jungler is it better to maintain that all of your lanes are just ok, or to focus on one or two players to attempt to build them up to a point to carry..

I can see flaws and benefits to either, and i can assume there are situations where one is better, but in general, what is better?

For example, if at 9 minutes yasuo has two kills, no deaths, and there is a chance to gank mid to get him a third kill. vs bot lane which is tied and an equal gank opportunity, which should i prioritize? I ask because while i know the importance of having someone to carry the game, but i also know the importance of not having a liability, maybe my riven is losing to their illaoi at top lane and a gank will get her that opportunity to stay on par with the rest of the game. But in doing that i miss a chance at a counter gank against the enemy jungle going mid against the same fed yasuo mentioned above.

Just as a plus, jungle pathing and objective taking is a big plus to help keep up pressure throughout the game and give more freedom to your current snowballing teamate to roam to other lanes. If anything oersonally I try to help gank my carry and take down tower as fast as possible to give way for him to help me re-neutralize a losing lane.

Note: my current jungle pathing is Blue > Gromp > Wolfs > smite w/ raptors + hp pot > smite on red + hp pot IF needed > scuttle for lvl 4 > gank mid or bot

There are a lot of nuances to jungling. That you just learn form experience. When to push out a lane is just one topic that laner will bitch at you for but will often be the right move to deny farm. Laners will also think that the only way to win a game is if you dig them out of the hole they've dug themselves. This isn't true, you have other lanes. They will also blame you for them losing their lane. Its not your job to win lane for them. Your job it do decide where the extra effort is best spent.

I'd say a big part of learning hwo to jungle is just learning when your laners are speaking nonsense. Because if you don't know for certain ganking the 6/0 Darius is a bad idea, your top laner might bitch/moan long enough to talk you into it. Then you're dealing with an 8/0 Darius.

Or when your bot lane starts randomly pinging the drake just because you're in the neighborhood despite the fact that mid and bot don't have pressure and your team is behind and can't start the fight. Hell I'll even have supports walk up and auto drake just to try to get me to start it when i'm 90% certain the enemy jungler is right there and the whole area is warded. Just let that asshole die.

Point is a big part of jungling is knowing 100% for certain what the right move is (even if you're wrong lol) so that you can ignore the whining from laners and do the right things. And getting a sense of what is the smart move and what isn't just comes with time in knowing champions strengths/weaknesses/power spikes, etc.

Oh an practice your clears in the training mode. Something as simple as moving the jungle monsters so that you don't lose q stacks from one camp to the next on hecarim is the difference between having enough health at the end of your clear for a gank or having to recall in shame.

it takes me about two minutes to see which of my teammates is the best then I get him fed even if I have to die doing it. that I like him carry my scrub teammates and myself to a win.

a fed mid/top beats a fed bot lane

While that is true, in some cases, its still best to gank the lane with the greatest kill potential. If you gank the Yasuo, in the example from the OP, odds are he pushed his lane opponent to tower, making a gank far riskier. If your bot lane's even at the moment, it'd be easier to get a kill there, since they are further from their tower.

talking about kill potential then realizing bot lane has 2 flashes/heal/exhaust/shields? Doesnt scream kill potential to me.

And you have two bot laners with the same summoners. Say you gank mid, and Yasuo dives under turret to finish his lane opponent. Just before he dies, he gets of some form of CC, and Yasuo dies. Now he's been shutdown, his lane opponent gets a big pot of gold, and everyone else on his team gets some as well. If you gank bot, you could get a duoble kill, then go for dragon. Worst case scenario there, you fail to get a kill, but at least you pushed them to their tower, so now they can't contest objectives.

focus on the lanes with the most pressure .. for example Darius vs Jayce as opponent gank more often against jayce because he is a lane bully , and he has a pretty strong Q-E combo

It's always better to start a fire than try to put one out. If you play around your losing lanes, than you will be outmatched 3v3 or 2v2 in those lanes because they are stronger, but if you go to your winning lanes it will be much much easier to get things going for your team. When a game is in a fairly nuetral state, it is important to watch how your laners trade and cs in lane, because you want to identify who the best player is and work to get them ahead since they will be most likely to carry a game.

Though its not a bad idea just to poke in and say hi in a losing lane to remind the enemy laners you're there. It will take some pressure off your lane so they can farm and defend....but don't go near the lane if its gotten to the point where even showing up for a quick hello is dangerous. I usually do this after I counter jungle because if i'm counter jungling that means I know the enemy jungler isn't close by to come in and screw everything up.

Add me in-game if you have more questions, I'm a diamond jungler and I can't play ranked rn (obviously).

I would like to speak with you about jungling too, I need a bit of help learning it as it is my WORST lane by far.
