I really like kog'maws gameplay of being a machine gun, if you do not position well, you are dead.

I just do not see the reason to revert his machine gun to its old, useless state.

It's literally the most boring thing, and position has NOTHING to do with Kog'Maw anymore. You literally hunker down and start shooting with the hopes that your team protects you.

Where's the counter-play or satisfaction in that?

Imo Kog'maw needs a full rework.

It has always bugged me how Kog's lore and his gameplay dont really match. Why does a void predator that just wants to eat cool stuff become a marksman that does acid machine gun blasts, or artillery bombardments? Does Kog's passive really tye into his theme? Kog's passive is useless past early game too.

Kog could probably use a VGU, honestly. He really doesn't fit the visual theme that Riot has struck with the rest of the Voidborn champs. He was the second one they made, after all, so it shouldn't come as much of a shock that he's out-dated.

That, and his kit will be an absolute mess once his W is changed back. He'll be a Marksmen without any real poke, no hard CC, and no mobility. Before he could get away with it by bringing absolutely overwhelming damage to the table with that new machine gun W. But now? Why in God's name would you ever want to pick him over Jinx? Sure he boasts a little more single target damage, but Jinx has got a much better early game combined with being much safer in general.
