Can we please tone down his base damages and possibly increase his scaling? He shouldn't be able to completely stop an ADC from farming, So frustrating to lane vs a Brand, then throw in a good synergizer like Jhin or Lucian and you're done.

As you can see, his damage, from base to scalings, were actually all nerfed. The only "buff" Brand received was the new explosion passive. This means that Brand support definitely has less poke than previous Brand, since he is now completely dependent on landing a combo to dish out the heat compared to other mage supports.

Silly Neeko1 votesPlenty worse than a Brand. My new go to support vs a Draven is possibly going to be Karthus now lol. You know exactly where his axe is going to land, and you could in theory poke twice before it lands. Early solo hit with Karthus Q is like 81+ damage. Either he catches his axe and takes hefty damage, or he lets it drop wasting his passive's extra gold and his extra damage until his spinning axe is up again.
Unless they have a bursty or CC support, or mabey a soraka, bot lane is already won. And even then, who says that support will hit any of their CC? the enemy will burn through so much more resources to keep you from using that 20 mana Q of Karthus.... Brand is good, but same as with any burst support, they are squishy. Anyways, good luck in future games.

-Base damage reduced -Single-cast Spell damage reduced across every spell due to single-stack blaze nerfs -Sear stun duration nerfed
Bolded part were the two things Support Brand was good at.
Edit: I actually looked up the numbers on League Wiki (and Renascent's post) again and...150 damage at rank 5 on E makes me want to laugh...
It IS a shit skill to begin with, and Riot did NOT rework this skill along with the mage rework. Completely disappointing.
