So now that I say the dragon change is a good one, here's how I would tune them up.
I gushed in other posts about what a fantastic CONCEPTUAL change these dragons are, but let's be honest here, who really wants to stack 3 air dragons?
They're not by any means balanced in what they give you and while they're all worth having, they're not all equally worth having or good for all members of your team. What I absolutely fucking love about the concept is that as a jungler, I can help my entire team just by securing them. Lanes that are getting beat on which I can't help with a gank, I CAN help with a dragon.
But lets look at these.
Fire Dragon. Bonus Ad and Ap. That means bonus damage right? Wrong. If you're an AD tank, you don't build any Ad at all. This dragon literally has 0 effect on your combat effectiveness. Now, if you were to say change that to deal 1% more damage to champions... Oooo baby, now we're cooking with fire! As opposed to what I'm not sure.
But on the other side of the coin, water dragon is FUCKING DISGUSTINGLY GOOD for tanks. You don't know how many times I've been saved in the late game because that water dragon sustain proc kicked in mid fight and just gave me 400 hp for no reason. This is the dragon that I will happily lose an ACE to get, it's just THAT good. I submit that it is TOO good and I would tune it thusly. Make it so that you cannot receive the sustain while in combat. Don't make it so that it goes on cooldown and you then have to wait 18/12/6 seconds whatever before you get it, make it so that you get it AS SOON as you get out of combat and then it resets the timer from that point. Like a reverse Garen passive, because if you have 2 tanks on your team or so help everyone a fucking swain and you have a few of these dragons, it's just silly. It's absolutely silly.
Earth Dragon... No problem, I like it, wouldn't do a thing to it.
And now the bastard child of the dragon family... Air dragon. You wouldn't cry at his funeral. He's unimployable, unlikeable and just a fucking sponge on your time and resources. You want to get rid of him in the hopes that you might get a useful dragon next time and you pray to the RNG gods that he never shows up... But he ALWAYS DOES.
And I think what makes it so weak is that it doesn't really know what it wants to do with it's life. I think either have it give you less flat movespeed or have it grant percentage out of combat speed. Flat movespeed is worth it just because you can't get it any other way and percentage out of combat move speed allows roaming champions to double down on their rotations. At the moment, I don't even notice it, even when I have 2 of them. There's no like, Janna particle or anything that tells me ok, now I'm running faster, so even if it IS doing anything, I don't notice it.
So anyways, that's my own ideas for tuning the dragons, again, I love the idea of them, that's making the jungle great, but now lets make it... Greater... Again. Or something.
