proto belt question

Edit: When i say brief loss of control i do not mean because of the active itself i mean the instant after the dash animation ends

is the brief loss of control of your champion after using proto belt intended? I play quite often and sometimes there is a delay or loss of control seems rather random and inconsistent. Sometimes it feels like there is little or no loss of control and other times the loss of control will almost a second long. The length of time might be exaggerated a little bit but i know i cannot be the only one experiencing this. If there is a small "stun" or "loss of control" i would really like to know how long its supposed to be.

I know part of it might be due to the distance traveled when belting but i don't think it would make the variance in time that big.
