Recurve Bow(1000) + Dagger 300+ Null Magic Mantel (450) +400 = Wit's end (2150) 40% attack speed 30 MR Unique Passive: 42 on hit magic damage Unique passive: get 5 MR for auto attacking which lasts for 5 seconds stacking up to 4 times.

Only thing I changed from season 2 is the added in Dagger since Recurve bow now offers on hit damage but lower attack speed. The current build path on live would be perfectly acceptable in this state.

Here is a video with the stats clearly stated at 23:45 and yes it shows Irelia who never gets it these days buying it against a Renekton. For those who dare question it being better and bought by more champs back in season 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0_O3Bg7EYw

This is how you make the item worth getting again Riot. You had it in a really good and useful place back in season 2 that was not over the top in denying enemies their own power with the mana burn having been removed by that point.

Get rid of that waste of item value passive that it got from malady. No one besides teemo ever got Malady for the reason that no one could make even half decent use out of the MR shred passive outside of Kayle, WW and teemo and only teemo could justify it over other item options. You might get a couple others like Azir these days who might be able to justify it but by all means Malady was a poorly designed item and the less then useful for the cost passive still lives on making a once great item not worth the cost.

We will not shut up about Wit's sad state until you address the state of this item riot.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

How was it better...? it seems like the stats are straight up WAY better right now.... I mean like... what?

The stats right now are something like; 2750 gold cost (ish) 40 MR 40 damage on-hit steals 5 MR per hit (capped at 5, therefore 25 MR swing total) 40% attack speed

So how is that worse than 30 MR, 42 damage on hit and 30% ASPD???? are you talking about the mana burn because... it doesn't sound like it..... all Wit's End really needs is a cost reduction. Maybe shave 200 gold off of the final combine cost and it'd be perfect.

If you can only think of total item slot efficency then yes current wit's end is better. IF you consider it as a early to mid game power boost then season 2 was far better.

Yes it has more stats currently but the MR reduction to enemies is effectively worthless to most every champ outside of Teemo, Kayle and WW and a couple others and even then they have toruble justify it consistently.

If you still do not understand think of if Infinity edge were to for some reason get 30 AP on it and cost 350 more for having that 30 AP. Most marksmen would likely not care for that 30 AP and would demand that it get removed if it increased the cost by 350. The MR reduction to enemies in turn is not worth the cost increase for most champs who get little to no effective value out of it. If your only magic damage is one or 2 abilities with the 42 on hit magic damage and your main damage is phyisical then season 2 wit's end is a far better item especially for the 650 less gold then what wit's end has become.

This is why wit's end has been a dead item since preseason 3. The gained stats are not worth the cost when compared to other items that could be picked up but several of us remember just how nice of an item it was especially against someone who rushes things like Frozen heart/IBG (nasus), Sunfire cape (fizz, echo, Renekton, Shen or anyone else in this meta that is a juggernaut or tank) or are all magic damage such as Vlad.

Wit's end was also not viewed as a late game item in season 2 but as a early to mid game power boost that was good for the cost but bad for the late game item slot efficiency. Consider it a gamble that was generally in your favor up to often at least 40 minutes.

I use it uncommonly on Evelynn and it works great alongside item 3001 against ultra heavy AP teams (Ex: 3 APs , Corki or Ezreal and a support which will do negligible AD).

Wit's End is fine, it's just very situational.

Too situational and limited to foo few champs for being actually worth the cost. That is the problem with it.

Sure, I tend to agree.

As I said maybe lower the final combine cost by 200 gold or so and it will be perfect. That's really all it needs. It doesn't need a massive complicated rework.
