Irelia doesn't need more than BotRK+TForce and maybe Wits End to down people; the rest of the gold is better spent on armor and HP.
As a Devourer Jungle she can opt for on-hit and slaughter the enemy team but, as a solo laner, she kinda needs The Beef to stand up to conventional toplane picks. Not to mention that she's way more useful as an off-tank than a glass cannon by the time endgame rolls by.
