Plays a champion for the first time (other than bots) against someone ranked 4 divisions higher on their mastery 7 champion

I miss team builder match making that was adjusted based on how experienced you were on a champion.

Yeah, there's nothing fun about getting stomped by someone multiple divisions above you. But, yknow, premades. Because it's totally fair for my Silver 4 ass to bring my Plat 1 friend in and get matchmade against a bunch of mid-silver players. No points for guessing how that played out.

Why yes, I am speaking from experience! Except the Plat 1 friend was someone else's friend and on the other team.

Why can't premades with huge skill disparities be restricted to blind pick? I want to practice and play around in reasonable team comps without putting my rank on the line, I really don't think that's asking a whole lot. Either that, or apply a clash-like system and raise the matchmaking MMR appropriately so the guy that's two leagues up can't stomp a game.

or just not allow people who are so far apart to que together. No Bronze game should have silver and above in it ever, same for silver, should not ever have gold players and above in them.

When you get to the top of your tier, then you move up. Then you play against people in the next tier.

Simple.

I would even freeze people in the high tier they ever made to stop them from throwing and reducing their level back down.

If you were ever gold, you should never be silver again. Also limits the amount of time a smurf can fuk up games on the way back up to their actual level.

Got autofilled mid once in a normal, played Katarina when she was reworked, enemy mid played Ezreal, spammed Mastery 7 whenever his jungler helped him kill me. Meanwhile our Yorick is taking their inhib while I'm being focused.

I don't quite get this either. I personally feel like your normal MMR should be loosely tied to your ranked MMR just so that people aren't in these huge disadvantages. Just make it so that Golds can't play against Bronze, Plat can't play against Silver or below, etc. Yeah, that Silver 5 player may still be against a Gold 1 player, but that's way better than being against that Master player.

I had an ARAM game one time where I was against 2 challenger players, one who was an LCS player (I don't remember who). I get that it's ARAM, but that's just BS that a Silver 2 was against a Challenger. Two people on my team literally AFKed before the game started because they recognized the LCS player and "knew" we'd lose.

Smite deals with this pretty easily. Riot refuses to so you get people who play a champ for the first time in ranked. Ask them why they think it's ok.

I hate it when people do that lol

I just got out of a Normal where I was against a Master who's 630th (0.0472%) on the ranked ladder and solo carried the game.

I'm Gold at 217,739th (16.33%). I even outlaned a Diamond 4 Support, just to get slapped by a Zoe player.

Seems fair, Rito.
