I'm sorry but if you think this game is based around esports you're absolutely wrong.
You want a game actually balanced around esports and esports alone, look at DOTA 2. That game is completely defined by the pros and almost zero percent by PUB games. And it shows: Heroes with massive winrates are "balanced" for pro play while heroes who are trash might still receive nerfs because they're dominating pro play.
Comparative in League, champions who are wrecking pro tier might still get buffs because their core win-rate is low. Champions with normal win-rates in solo queue will be untouched despite being trash in pro play because they're "fine". Riot, and League, for the longest time have balanced 50/50 between standard and pro play. So no, Riot isn't "shoving esports down your throat". If anything they're catering more to you than the pros. If they were truly only about esports, the game would receive even less updates and focus entirely on balancing for the tippy top of play...which means 75% win rate Garen gets to go nuts just so he can be a niche pick in pro play.
Please stop using this as a point of argument. It's false. What you should be asking is for Riot to take a hardline stance and pick one or the other because playing the 50/50 game is not going to work.
