Nerfing Skirmisher's Damage Will Not Bring Them Away From Tank Builds!!

The reason tank Yasuo and Ekko are so popular is because their primarily damage focused kits do not provide sustain or reliable resistances. With no means of natural survivability, which is absolutely critical for a skirmisher, players are needing to purchase it from items. With the near extinction of spell vamp Ekko is pretty much forced to have more resistances than sustainability. Yasuo does have the ability to benefit more heavily from AD items so an AD sustain build including lifesteal is certainly possible for him, but tank items are just strong right now.

NERFING THEIR DAMAGE WILL NOT WORK.

Not having the ability to deal enough damage in a short enough time is what is causing the need to buy sustainability. They have already tried this with Ekko and guess what, tank Ekko is still a problem. They need to BUFF their sustainability through their natural kit. Encourage players to purchase offensive items in order to deal sustainable damage without being destroyed too quickly.

Honestly I still buy visage on Ekko when going heavy AP.

That is completely understandable. Glass cannons are definitely fun when ahead, but they are not nearly as reliable when you are even or a little behind. Having some survivability is extremely important as a melee range champion, and someone who is designed to deal damage through a quick succession of abilities and auto attacks will get absolutely destroyed if they can't instantly erase their opponent.

Understandably, Defensive itemization is going to help you duel. As it allows you to live longer and dish out more damage yourself. (Otherwise, Juggernauts wouldn't have need nearly as frustrating to deal with.)

Of coarse the whole idea of Nerfing Damage does come from the notion that the Tank builds don't give up enough in damage when built. But the Tank, and Skirmisher builds need to be looked at separately. Sure, nerf his base, but if the Skirmisher build is only average at best, then they would probably need some compensation to their scaling.

Also, I don't agree with the idea of buffing their Sustain. A Glass cannon will blow up just as easily to burst if they are caught. But Built in Sustain would probably help their tank builds more. Simply put it, Armor and MR's stats, can be thought of as % effective Health. That also compounds with Health that is regenerated. So if you give them sustain, the hard to kill skirmishers will be, even more hard to kill.

This is where creativity comes in. Grant sustain/resistances based on offensive stats. Encourage offensive itemization over defensive itemization.
