Been brought up before, but what would people think about SEPARATE rankings in each mode? Use the champ border for SR, maybe a medallion at the top right corner for TT, with another at the bottom for ARAM? Then no one needs to worry about skewed ranks, but you get to show it off regardless of what mode you're playing at the moment? There should be a way to do it so it doesn't clutter things up too much.

And before we get too far into it, I know ranked ARAMs has it's issues, but I'm sure some method of ranking besides win-loss record could be used, like match KDA or something. Not what this is about - just putting this out for all the people who are against rankings in other modes because they'd have issues looking at people's borders.

There is already a separate boarder for SR - Solo Duo/ SR - Flex, and Twisted Treeline.

ie , if you are plat in Solo Duo , and Silver in Flex, then when you queue for Flex it will show your Silver boarder, not the Plat one.

Riot doesn't want people to go, "OMG I'm X rank in ARAM" when it's all randomized. Honestly it can be competitively played but it's a mode for fun and entertainment not really competitive. So bringing ranks into other game modes is like bringing a gun to every form of fighting even knife fights. People will brag about it.

Ranked ARAM will just be a dodgefest or autolose when you get a shit comp. No point in making it ranked

I don't really care about having all ranks displayed during champ select. The current system of "queue-specific rank, defaulting to highest rank if unavailable" works fine and is (generally) useful enough. Solo SR rank doesn't impact ARAM, just like TT rank doesn't matter much in Flex SR. Adding additional medallions or whatnot would just make the loading screen even more cluttered. After all, there's already Mastery flair, Honor banner, Ranked border, and skin border.

What would be interesting would be Ranked ARAM. With the addition of position ranks next season, Summoner's Rift, by itself, would have 6 separate ranks (5 solo positions plus flex). Meanwhile, TT is still the only non-SR ranked queue. It'd be nice to have other options or opportunities to demonstrate skill. If there's enough specialization within SR to have that many different ranks, surely it's not unreasonable to specialize a bit outside SR as well.
