You can make any champion sound OP this way. Even Azir, Kalista and Aatrox.

Example: Passive: OVER 3K FREE WORTH OF STATS IN HIS PASSIVE, BS GA AND ATTACK SPEED Q: Mini malphite ult on a 14 seconds cooldown that SCALES WITH A STAT AATROX BUILDS, WTFFF??? MAKES HIM ABUSE COC TOO, WTF W: Free huge blow every 3 attack, what the hell? how is that balanced??? and W also gives him unlimited sustain, bullshit!!! E: unlimited poke, aoe cc and AOE damage. AP AND AD SCALING? WHAT THE HELL??? R: This shit gives: Burst, dps, attackspeed, attack range for 12 seconds. As if the passive attack speed wasn't enough!!!

See? I literally just listed every pro on aatrox and gave a touch of hyperbole. He definitively sounds OP this way. Truth? He's quite literally trash.

Lee Sin: falls off hard, damage depends heavily on hitting Q, hitting Q depends heavily on Ult, Ult depends heavily on getting the right angle. Jack of all trades, but master of none. Good damage early, later meh. Squieshy early, later sort of tanky. Practically useless in teamfights unless he gets a good kick off.

Well it is a valid argument, because some champions are more affected and afraid of cc and others don't give too many fucks about your cc. It's like this, they have an olaf jungle and a yasuo mid, if you waste the cc on olaf, of course Yasuo will just run over you.

but olaf is (i believe) the only champion in the game that has a state that simply allows him to negate cc. thats an exception to the rule but i don't think its a viable weakness if its literally just 1 champion that cc wouldn't work on. pretty much all of the champions that have the potential to carry have the universal weakness of CC and focus destroys them, but pretty much every champion should have the weakness of if you 1v5 them they should lose if not played 100% perfectly.

They could have easily done so had they not used their CC terribly. Hell, with the amount of CC they had they could probably have prevented her from taking advantage of her ult once she used it if they had only waited for her to use it.

And it's entirely and ONLY the enemy team's fault that even happened to them. They don't deserve any sort of sympathy.

They literally played directly into her strengths. Would you complain about Veigar's mechanical skill if you KNOW his cage is not on cooldown, chase him with all 5 members of your team, see him make the cage, AND THEN all run into the EXACT SAME SPOT so he can hit every single one of them with one W? And a Q/R followup means just about every single squishy will die and everyone else will still lose a shitton of health.

Playing Illaoi takes a ton of mechanical skill, because opponents aren't that fucking stupid usually.

see that's fine because you have to actually LAND your abilities and position well. veigar is extremely squishy so Positioning is a lot hard and landing your abilities, not only that but if he has the damage to just delete every squishy with just a W or Q he clearly either made the game last long enough to allow him to get a shit ton of ap from passive or he won laning phase and has items or both. The primary difference here is that while illaoi ALSO has to land abilities, she is not punished for missing it nearly as hard due to her sustain and tank. When you miss an crucial E on Veigar 9 times out of 10 you're probably gonna immediately explode. when you miss a skill on illaoi unless you're playing full AD or something you're probably not going to die and due to her high base damages and AD ratios when she does land her full combo she'll kill squishies just the same. the Risk is not the same but the reward is, an possibly bigger in illaois case since vei's ult isn't AOE and he doesn't have as good armor shread/consistant damage as illaoi. not only that but in that particular situation Jinx and Tryndamere simply don't HAVE the cc to keep her locked down.

Better yet stop discussing balance using completely hypothetical situations to make a point:

Examples:

-Stating max possible damage numbers on an ability (with full damage build) calling it OP. That doesn't make a champ OP on it's own, what about factors like is it too easy for them to reliably get into that situation? How come?

--1v1 duelling outcomes with kit A vs kit B outside of laning phase. You aren't solo laning with 4-6 items. A hundred different things are at play during team fights and map play.

Cass: mana hungry, no out of the fight mobility, in fight depending on masteries, Ult has counterplay, low range therefore pokeable and exhaustable but she is overtuned atm (or was in the last patch atleast, haven't seen her too much since.

Vayne: mediocre AA range and nothing that she can do beyond that range. Therefore she is forced to be in close range of everything that deals damage. No out of combat mobility and no AOE damage. Overtuned atm, early game is not weak enough.

Has a really long cooldown out of combat since the enhanced auto lasts for like 16 eons and prevents the skill from going on cooldown until it's fired. Seriously rank 1 Q cooldown+waiting for the auto buff to expire is like 15 seconds. It's a neat way to make sure she's hyper mobile in fights, but not some Link wannabe spamming roll all day out of combat.

At rank 1 and with the auto buff timer it has a total cd of 13 seconds. And that won't be the case that long, since Q gets maxed first. So at level 9, the total cd is down to 9 seconds, which isn't incredibly long in my opinion.

She has insane mobility in combat thanks to tumble and her passive. But saying that she has no out of combat mobility is simply wrong. Tumble still provides out of combat mobility.
