Yorick Sup. . . Legit?

So I have been having some success in normals with a support build for Yorick I've been expanding my champ rotation adding AD champs Sion & Trundle I was planning on getting Leona next but I started wondering why Yorick couldn't do well with a similar build. He has good sustain thanks to his Q and combined with item 3302 you can still make graves. I have been using StoneBorn as the Mastery keystone thanks to his E and W I think he works really well with champs that have an AoE ult and good peel like Lucian orMissFortune . Even without building item 3078 He still has good lane push so I think he would match well with adc's that do well roaming like Kindred and Twitch . Keep in mind I am in the lowest possible ELO (seriously my MMR is like 3) so my success could just be luck or the fact that my opponents are bad/unadaptable, but if that is the case why is no one else doing it? Lux Is only good in low ELO and I see her almost every game.
I am curious to hear your thoughts, and suggestions. My personal adventures with yorick support feature a w->e>q max order, and have been stupidly successful since I don't think it should be successful.

However, they are not recent adventures, and I'd much rather someone who can run censer these days.

His only strength is catching someone in his trap. If that's on cooldown, what's stopping the enemy team from diving your adc? It's his only peel/disengage and engage. If you get ganked and put into a 2v3 situation, or if your adc gets caught by blitz, thresh, rakan, alistar, etc etc etc, then your only hope is to catch 2 of them (if your lucky) in the trap while a 3rd can continue to chase. Your adc would NEED to be someone who can self-peel or gtfo of bad spots. in any case, you're choosing a champ with 1 ability to protect an adc over a legit support who can do much more.
