You actually see marksmen other than
,
or
?
weird.
Though it also makes sense...originally, adcs went mid anyway. And if my Caitlyn can fare better mid lane than bot lane against the trio of scum above, I'd do it too. It'd be an interesting thing from my perspective to be able to play once again an adc that didn't revolve around spamming their abilities as hard and fast as possible, cause last I heard, ability spammers were casters not marksmen.
What I don't like more than anything though is Riot's sense of balancing around the LCS profits more than the people. As "careful" as they're being, we got to this point because the LCS needed explosive teamfights, faster games, constant action and so on...and this change with the support items in particular INFURIATES me because it's absolutely groundless. The top lanes they "hotfixed" them for were LOSING money in the long run, and if they didn't get kills or assists from jungle ganks, they'd be left SCREWED...so instead of trying to get people to learn to play against some bullshit Korean cheese strat, let's just COMPLETELY BONE THE SUPPORTS in the long term. They're already mostly known to be weak, and they already get enough abuse from their teams over vision control as it is...so let's HALF their vision score, make them CHOOSE between sweeper or ward trinket instead of taking sweeper and keeping their ward item, and completely gut their gold generation whenever their adc turns out to be more of a glorified cannon creep for the enemy team. AT LEAST THE PRO GAMES WILL HAVE MORE SURPRISE GANKS!
Except...aren't ALL ganks supposed to be surprises? And while I'm on the subject: are supports the only ones with warding trinkets, or did their teams unbind that key to justify blaming the supports for their deaths?
I can't only blame Riot though. A lot of the issues are also caused by the people that don't want to be bothered to learn how to play on a higher level than what they are. THEY'RE the ones crying til Riot hotfixes a (pretty dumb imo) strategy that isn't meta enough for them...
