Every Game Isn't Winnable, But That Doesn't Mean You Should Give Up

I just had one of THE most head scratching games I've ever played, and while it sucked, I lost, and it was just impossible to win, I learned a LOT from it.

I ended the game, as support with the most kills, most damage, second highest xp (no idea how), and 50 gold short of most gold on the team. I ended the game only with 50 CS so no I wasn't stealing gold.

The point isn't to complain, the point is, that game sucked, and there was no way to win it given how bad my team was, but sometimes you have to take those games and learn from it. The next game if I do that good with a few better teammates, I could win easily. Some people get behind and just pout, whine, and spam surrender and go right into their next game tilted.

Sometimes you have to suck it up and realize you are going to have teammates that have no clue what they are doing. It happens. I see too many people whine about bad teammates, and losing LP. Sometimes, you just aren't gonna win shrugs.

tl;dr Not every game is winnable, and that's OKAY. Learn from it, don't pout about it.

Your title is misleading, you may want to try and fic it. It looks like you are saying that no games are winnable, when I think you mean that some games are not winnable.

How is it misleading? Every game isn't winnable, but doesn't mean to just give up. If I had given up that last game at 15-20 minutes, I just would have been frustrated with how bad my team was. Instead I played the game out and actually felt good about myself after the game.

I know everyone just wants 100% of their info from titles, but there is writing in the post for a reason to elaborate.

"every game isn't winnable" is too close to saying that no game is winnable

I've had games where it was 3/2 or something like that. I really don't want to have to waste an extra 20 minutes just to make it 6/35.

If you are ONLY playing to win/not lose then you aren't gonna go far. Took me way too long to figure out that one.

I just responded to what I realized was probably bait, and I don't want my efforts to be in vain. I'm going to copy my response because it's relevant.

I'd say that ending a game early can stop me from hard-tilting, allowing me to regain focus without going on a massive losing streak. If I'm in a game where the enemy is up by 15 kills, 3 turrets, and 2 dragons at 25, I'd rather just take the loss before I start getting angry and flaming my team for losing lanes regardless of how well I did. (assuming they haven't done the same earlier.) Leaving me stuck there is going to make my teammates and I angrier, causing us to lose focus and start screaming at each other like apes. I don't FF if I think my team can turn a game around. If the enemy team comp is bad, or they are playing early game champs, I won't surrender. But I draw a line if my teammates STILL haven't grouped 30 minutes in when the enemy is taking middle inhib.

The idea behind surrendering is not to win, it's to cut your losses of time and mental stability. Sometimes, trying to win is a herculean task, but I'm still willing to try winning from behind if my teammates and I can focus enough to take objectives and good picks. If I can't, because my teammates are tilted and decide to splitpush out of spite, then I'd rather just take the loss, save 20 minutes, play something else for a while and get back into the game when I'm mentally prepared to.

Me not ending the game earlier is what actually kept me from tilting. The game was going horrible to the point I wanted to toss my coffee cup at someone cause my teammates were also arguing with each other.

I played it out, knowing we weren't winning, and I felt better about my play because I did well after the game even though my team bombed hard.

I can accept that. You have a good attitude on things. I'll try to incorporate that into more of my games. If my teammates are trying to cast hexes on each other from behind the keyboard though, I'm not gonna keep playing, because I'm just exposing myself to poison at that point.
