When can i trully start to be agressive with Vayne?

Hey all, so i’m a vayne main, yes yes she’s not good in solo Q right now, i know i know... But i love this champion, i like playing this champion more then playing league tbh, and the reason is because she is so challenging, every other adc in the game or any other champ tbh aside from maybe zed, feels so brainless and easy to play...now i’m not saying i can play every champ at God tier, hell no, i can only play well a few set of champs, but that’s my choice. Even though i have probably around 300 games played with the champ, like half of that ranked games, there are some match ups i have a hard time with, and when i look at their stats they barely have any games with the champ, yet they can beat me, rework ashe is one of them, that it doesn’t seem to matter how good of a condem i get, followed by an ult, she still out trades me. I guess i lack knoledge about this champions power spikes and other adc’s power spikes aswel, and maybe one of you higher elo player can help me :D so i know she has a weak lane, but around what lvl or after what items can i start to realy engage and be aggressive? I have heard all sorts of answers to this, my rule of thumb, witch tends to work at my elo (silver), considering i have a positive win rate with her, after bork and greaves is when i start being aggressive, unless i’m vs a corki or ashe, then i’ll hang back the entire game. Is this method correct? What creates vaynes first major power spike over other ADC’s? (lvl and items), and when should i stop playing passive?

As a support I usually try to get a kill for Vayne when she hits level 6. I am also very interested in the answers to this thread, so I can support a Vayne more effectively.

it's after your second item when you start actually being relevant (so when you have botrk + pd + greaves)

and then after you get last whisper is when you can start shredding tanks and dueling squishies.

Go into lane and expect to win at level 1 by playing full aggro, but first, you need to get in the zone - imagine you're Doublelift. Now that you have this ~~outrageous delusion ~~ spark of confidence, you should be able to zone out and watch the kills come to you.

Disclaimer: This only works if you have a strong imagination. If you die at level 1, you're not believing hard enough, and if that's not the case, you can always blame lag.

In all seriousness, Vayne has a lot of unfavorable matchups despite being relatively good in this meta. The problem with her is her low range, enabling the other laners to harass her out of auto range preventing her from farming effectively. This extends to the teamfight phase, where she can be easily focused if your team isn't built around protecting you, or simply don't care enough to keep you safe.

When I play her, I generally play extremely passive while in lane, only trading when I know I can avoid being chunked. Instead of looking for kills, I just farm under turret and wait to get items. There's no sense in trying to force something crazy when you don't have anything to fight back with, so you play the waiting game.

The other bot laners will generally be pushing to your tower trying to synchronize a dive, and while you can see that happening, you can call your jungler down for assistance. Now that they're distracted and no longer trying to bash your skull in, NOW you can go aggro for kills.

If the dive is unsuccessful, it's important to remember not to lose your lead, so continue to play safe. If you fall behind, it's difficult to come back, so I generally prioritize farm over kills no matter the circumstance.

please if you post something next time, press spacebar sometimes. WoT is really hard to read :)

i think you can start dueling when you hit bork/greaves, 2v2 depends a lot on the support matchups but if you dont misplay hard you should win 2v2s when at Bork PD if your not too far behind

Based on my experiences, the enemy Vayne always gets a double kill 4 minutes in :V

It kind of depends.

How far behind you are, how far ahead, who the other carry/support combo is, lots of things.

TBH a 2 item Vayne is probably going to win 1 v 1 against any other 2 item carry, if that's what you mean, but League isn't a 1 v 1 game.

Just don't tumble into people. Vayne's that go tumbling towards the enemy team in fights are the worst.

As a general rule, unless your opponent screws up, you really can't be aggressive until you have your boots and 1 item completed.

A lot of it depends on who your support is and who you are matched up against.
