@Meddler, What do you and the data say about new Galio and if he needs buffs or nerfs so far?

Did he come out as expected or was he above or below the mark needing nerfs or buffs respectively?

He might need nerfs to his base damages, kinda too high.

He can like 100-20 you at lvl 3 if he hits his dash knockup.

Honestly if you get his by his E...not feeling all that sorry for you. Its hit box may be huge but with the back step, telegraph, and subpar range due to the back step its not the easiest thing to hit from range. Better if used when engaged on imo

Has just had his update go out. Super early days, so far we're seeing him perform better top and mid than jungle or support. In terms of balance it's too soon to judge much, looks like at minimum he's not weak however. Whether that means he's around balanced or on the strong side we should start to get a clearer picture on soon.

That was still like a day after he was released though if I'm remembering correctly

Yep and it's been the weekend so he's probably not gonna be working since then.

I feel like he is strong, but not overbearing. I also feel like that people are not used to him and do stupid shit as standing in the ult radius or getting caught by his E in lane which make him look much stronger.

Feels like a squishier Maokai, but he is tons of fun to play, hope they dont nerf him too much if at all!

It reminds me of when Ekko first came out (before the tank ekko crap that ruined playing him mid eventually) and everyone complained about his Q hitting you on the way back if you walked backwards and riot was just like "...you know you can just walk sideways right"

Galio seems to be the exact opposite of what he was previously. He used to be pretty weak early due to mana constrants, but scaled well into the game. Now he seems OP early and falls off hard. That's what it's seemed like to me so far.

Honestly the few games I've played with him seem pretty stagnate in his power level but that may just be my performance

He has a superb lategame, actually. It's just not all about his damages. He's an enabler for your team, granting >50% damage reduction to a caught-out ally for 1s, then knocking up the entire enemy team. The enemies blow all their CDs trying to kill a "squishy" with the effective HP of a tank, and then lose the fight after they fail to do so and get knocked up.
