up each by 1k-1.5k gold and increase the base stats but not the passive. Lets carries carry harder but not until later in the game, thoughts?
Would probably boil down to something like this;
Last Whisper +80 AD +35% armor pen Cost: 3600 gold(?)
Void Staff +120 AP +35% magic pen Coat: 3600 Gold(?)

Currently you need to choose between a more expensive item with more AP/AD or a cheaper item that provides the same or more damage against certain targets.
Void Staff's passive is stronger than Deathcap vs any MR at lower AP levels. Void Staff -> Deathcap would be the new standard.
