Elementalist Lux, the Pay-To-Win Skin

Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

This image shows her E and her Q.

Like I'm gonna see this shit when there's other effects going on, what the fuck is this.

On top of all her shit being hard to see, there is no 'first glance' look that really says what her ability is. QWE or AA? Who knows.

It's obvious when looking at a Still-Image, but when you're in a teamfight it just looks like a blob of shit if you do manage to see it before you are instantly killed by it.

ON TOP OF THAT, the effects are see-through and are animated in a way that makes them extremely difficult to see. The only thing you can see is the glowing center, which is a tiny dot 1/2 the size of my champion.

Seriously, make this skin not horrendously over-animated and add functionality to it. I don't care how pretty the ability is when you zoom in on it in a Development lab in a solid-black environment, I want to actually be able to interact with it in-game. This isn't fun at all. Even half the channel of her ult is impossible to see; can only when it gets super bright.

Can't imagine how shitty this'd be if I were color-blind.

I find that skin even easier to see her particles, anyone who has trouble is just bad and needs to learn to dodge, stop making excuses.

I agree with you on the ultimate, I can't tell its coming as easily as her vanilla skin. It seems to have a wider hit box on the elementalist lux ulti too, in a way that the beam is super skinny so when you side step the line that pops up the sides of it still hit you.

this skin is 100% pay to win, particle are thiner and animation volumes are lowered

You are right. This is not a game, but a business. Think about the christmas event. Compare it to other games.

So, after a quick Google search, I found evidence supporting what I already knew. Everything you said there is bullshit.

Here's the thing: in the Elementalist skin, every ability has a wider indicator than in the base skin. Every single one.

Compare: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHWajWYb0RY&ab_channel=R0YALDRAGON https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=445Kdc00PY0&ab_channel=Lewis%27LeagueofLegends (Mute the first one, since it's kinda obnoxious.)

Yeah, it's invisible, then suddenly there's a thin line, then the whole lane is a fucking lazer.

This is actually a pretty hilarious comment. The "thin line" starts out as wide as the ultimate itself, then narrows down before the final burst. With the base skin, it's just a thin little indicator that provides no context as to the width of the ultimate.

So, actually, you could say it's a "pay to lose" skin, since it gives an objective advantage to the enemy.
