@Riot How would've Azir looked like if you had taken the other path with his rework?

I eventually learned to be full with Azir's rework even though it is not what I hoped for at first, and I'm pretty happy with how he turned out to be at the end.

Now with that out of my mind.. I am pretty sure that the other rework path you had in mind was to keep his range but completely rework his E and R, turning him into an absolute artillery mage with no safety or mobility (Ziggs, Xerath, etc...)

What did you have in mind for him when you worked on his rework? I would love to know that, as I'm very interested to know how Azir would've looked like with a kit that fits his theme (An emperor who stands far back and commands his army to do the job for him)

If I had to guess, Riot would have lowered Azir's soldier damage (perhaps by removing the free AS from his W) and changed his E into something completely different.

I figured they were either going to play up his sand magic on E or another creatable unit. They would have lowered the raw damage or dps on him to keep his overall range. I think a couple of the current changes would have stuck through to the other side like lowering soldier's pierce damage, etc.
