Well, at least Riot's consistent about not giving skins to any champion that actually deserves skins.
Skarner and Kled, you say? NO. We need more satisfaction for Lux players who want to play dress-up, nevermind that her ultimate skin is the e-Barbie wet dream already. And Nasus is pretty strong right now, gotta cash in on that horse while they can.
She has 6 skins (7 with lunar Revel) Yes the last was elementalist, and the last skin that she received was November 2016 which was elementalist. But why are we all complaining only about Lux when Warwick and Nasus both have as many skins as Lux has.
Probably because Warwick and Nasus fit better thematically with this years Lunar Revel and Lux feels kind of thrown in. In the end, can there be champions that more deserve skins than Lux. For sure, but I would be more mad when Aurelion Sol finally gets a skin and it's a skin that's only supposed to be available for this event then be a legacy skin like all the Lunar Revel skins have ended up being.
Aurelion Sol also just fits with any Lunar Revel regardless of which animal's year it is because eastern dragons are likely to be depicted on any Lunar Revel.
Skins are worked on way in advance as well, it takes 4-6 months for a skin to go from starting production to release. Riot has been releasing the posts about Battlecast Illaoi to give us insight on how long and what goes into a skin.
Who gets played more and thus would make them more money? Lux or A. Sol? Lux it is. You say favoritism, Riot says business.
Honestly after Elementalist, why would i ever need another skin? That skin is basically a Visual update for her. Anything else is overkill.
