I had completely forgotten about that idle animation, honestly the more I think about it the more upset I am that they so drastically changed his character and back story for what feels like a cheap implementation of meeting a quota of diversity which should honestly offend proponents of diversity in this game too seeing as they haphazardly handled this.
They could have just made a new champion with the lore,but they instead dicided to remove a champion. Just like Galio Yorick. Riot just dosent give a shit about the players/mains opinions about the champion,even tho they know more about the champ.People that never played varus or even seen his lore, call the new lore good withought seeing how much they changed varus.

I think to appease people, they should rush work on him. If they are going to do this the least they can do is make him amazing. Instead of planning work on Ezreal.

In before Next Darkin champion won't have any A in his name.
Don't change his idle animation, just write new lore about it.

Just because two Darkin have two a’s, doesn’t mean they all do.
Maybe Varus changed his name because he didn't like having two A's in it.
i feel like a lot of his non-combat animations need changed now. the holding locket thing everyone talks about, his bow writhing and Varus calming it, the cocky nature of his taunt/joke... i can imagine a version of his taunt where Kai warns them to stay away, and Varus then taunts them to come closer instead. i can imagine his joke being changed into one of the guys taking control, saying something and then Varus controls their hand to slap them in the face or something... there's a lot of in-game things that need to be changed that just changing the VO won't solve imo
If you can retcon Varus' lore, you can retcon the "NOT ALL DARKINS" thing with the double aa's.
But I like his voice over. I don't want it to get changed.
