is thresh damage ever going to get nerfed?

Thresh period is kinda retarded.. he is ranged attacks, has a Safe hook, Safe knock up/back, and has a massive slow ulti to also go with his extra damage. However he still cant really stand up to most tank supports and can be baited with his hooks.. i do it all the time.. let myself get hooked then when he jumps to me i flash into tower range and stun/snare lock his ass down.. If they made his melee and his hook a little more risky like an amumu, Leo or blitz.. then id have no issues with his damage..
