it is simple actually down there there are a lot of toxic champions from the 0 counterplay lulu and janna who invalidates melee champs to the tristana and vayne who do the same and they can do it alone if they are togheter for example janna-tristana you will never touch em and they dictate the game alone
Riot wants more diversity botlane, but they do nothing to lower the overall power of marksmen. They keep balancing marksmen around the average power within that class of champions, but they completely forget that the weakest marksmen are still a lot stronger than melee champions.
Yeah ADC are tanks long range assassin that one shot you with just a BF sword I'm totally not exagerating everyone on the boards says so.

I don't think bruisers stand a chance bot lane, like ever. But if riot really wants to open up bot lane, then I can see mages or stuff like Gangplank/Jayce going bot with a cc machine like a Nautilus. Leona/Orianna, Cassio is another one...she works a lot like an ADC, give her a support that peels for her or cc the enemies and gg.
No, it's actually because they nerfed everybody who isn't an ADC or Support that were attempted at bot.
The simple reason is adcs are broken. That's why you won't see diversity without big changes.
I hope we get some diversity because currently adc winrate just shows their performance against other broken marskmen, if you had diversity it would show how truly broken adcs are.
Spell binder lasting 4 seconds is too short for sustain mages like 
while being hard to stack and having a 60 second cooldown.
It's because no other champ does marksmen's job, those who do are few and can be taken bot like azir and ziggs, but they are so rare unless your team knows how to work around it, you wont get far. I can cheese botlane with sion and panth and just win lane by constantly brawling, winning lane is not what makes adc be picked, it's what they bring later: -Objective control -DPS -Ranged
It's actually really funny because supports are SO skewed towards ADC's that you'll never see champions besides marksman.
There is no champion in the game besides marksman and MAYBE this guy 
that are able to utilize Lulu's W attack speed and E DPS effectively.
Janna's shield explicitly gives AD so it's useless for botlane replacements like

If they hard rework marksmen it could work, otherwise we'll keep going through the cycle of nerfs and buffs to them and nothing will really happen unless they change the structure of the game itself.
I remember a time long ago 2 bruiser / assa combo or sup worked well on botlane , that was before the disgusting item called static shiv hit the game along with botrk and shields on shields on shields.
the most fun i had with friends on botlane was playing unorthodox picks like sion jarvan , xin jarvan , aatrox prenerf + anyone. RIOT has clearly decided botlane is hyperscaling gamedeciding 90%factor of league and thus i no longer play much besides reaching gold once every season because the balancing around 0.02% of the games population just doesn´t cut it for me.
imagine if anyother game did that. i said it a long time ago and i´ll say it again - Esports is the bane of balance design and fun factors. but it brings the most money apparently due to ads events and selling overpriced pixel skins /that used to be free before they made it a bannable offense to have your own skins that only YOU could see.
The only thing i think is feasible bot lane are Mages but they would need to make their AA against Objectives scale with AP or give them an item to help them take down objectives/push as well as ADCs do. That or nerf ADCs in those areas. Seeing as they seem to be buffing ADCs i do not see it likely that they will reach their goal.
I always thought it had more to do with exp splitting in a duo lane making it really painful if you wanted to play a mage or a bruiser down there (since they are quite level dependent, bruisers for example gain a lot of health and base AD per level and mages want to rank up their skills for more base damage)
laning doesn't seem to be much of an issue, I've had plenty of odd normal games where the enemy picked non-adc non-ranged bot lanes like j4 and xin botlane and they crushed the phase due to their base stats.
but like you get your ult the slowest out of all 10 champs in the game, and typically two players have to split farm to be effective.
Becuase the fact a sona has a ap ratio higher then veigars max stacks is bs, while if Leona wanted to build black cleaver and kendo can go ap and half hp squisheys there’s no need to buff stupid supports. Seriously why is sona allowed to one shot tanks
