Diamond+ players I need support help

Right now I only play thresh and braum. The thing is I dislike non tank supports, will that hurt me in the long run? Should I use blitz over thresh?

It will hurt you in team comps that are more kite oriented or "protect the adc". Also, playing a melee support can be disadvantageous in the sense where if you screw up your engage/positioning, you are vulnerable to intense kiting from range supports and you won't displace the same amount of poke due to the lack of autoattack harass.

That being said, blitz is a nice snowball/pick support to learn due to his ability to isolate targets.

I think you should also consider picking up Alistar as he offers good sustain and very strong pre-6 disengage as well as having a solid level 6 tower dive potential.

Braum is a solid support pick due to his ability to counter poke comps/champs which are pretty popular atm.

Aside from that, just try to understand which picks are appropriate in each comp. That will allow you be more useful with the right champions picked.

You could always pick up Alistar , Malphite , or Leona if you're wanting to expand your support champ pool but don't feel comfortable playing non-tanks.
