Solo queue is so shitty right now

You can't solo carry this season anymore... you put so much value into bot lane with the adc changes that if your bot lane is feeding you auto lose the game 95% of the time. Jungle's gold is decreased even further so you cant solo carry from jg as well (and games are faster so its not like you can farm jg anymore and come out later).

Rift herald is a joke and is barely contested since jg and top can't solo it early without getting roamed on by mid/top and jg

You can't even win with vision anymore since you nerfed green wards as well as trinkets, so if your dickhead teammate wanders into a bush and dies 30 mins in because you had no vision its game over

This is the only season where I have felt helpless in terms of winning the game. Either my team is ok and doesn't go 0/6 by the first 10 minutes or they feed insanely and the game is over. There is almost no coming back from the early snowball (in rare occasions maybe if the other team has a d/c or something). It is literally the most luck based season I have played in the past almost 6 years of playing this game.

tl;dr Either matchmaking gives you a break or you're fucked

I've not been having any issues.

I played 28 ranked games over the last week, losing 7 games and climbing from Gold 4 to Gold 1.

I've been playing primarily top and jungle and I have not been prioritizing bottom lane. I can still put enough pressure in top lane or in teamfights as a jungler to help carry my team or enable them to carry.

You may be on a losing streak and that can be frustrating, but that does not mean that the meta is in a horrible place or that matchmaking is broken and luck-based.

Sorry didn't mean that, low elo is carryable always, higher elo (plat +) is what i was referring to

and sorry to say this but to carry in ANY elo you have to improve yourself. This isn't something exclusive to high Elo. If you are in Plat but playing like a gold player then don't expect to carry. If you are plat and play like a plat there are games in which you will carry and those in which you won't. If you are playing at a higher tier lvl then you should be able to carry regardless of whether you are Plat or Diamond or Bronze or whatever.

Don't come here saying it's easier to carry at low Elos than at high Elos since that is not true unless you are playing that much better than your competition. For people in any Elo that actually belong there they won't start "carrying" until they get better

I've been your elo but you haven't been my elo... it's alot different and you don't have the experience. It is considerably easier to carry at a lower skill level; in higher elo you can't 1v5 the entire team like you can in bronze/silver, the people are actually competent and know how to play the game.

ill be sure to take your gold 4 input into consideration ty

so cute, if you come to gold then sure you will be able to carry since you are not a gold player you are better than gold players. You are not better than the players in your current rank just like i am no better than people in my rank. If i want to climb past gold then i need to get better just like if you want to climb past your rank you need to get better. It's not "considerably easier" to carry at lower Elos IF you play like those lower Elos. If you play like a top tier challenger team you will be able to breeze through diamond no problem and i have seen a lot of pros in their smurfs do it. There is no difference between a gold player playing at gold lvl and a plat/diamond/master/bronze/lvl1 player playing at their own rank. You want to climb? IMPROVE! the issue is not the meta or the patch or the anything is YOU and your inability to adapt. I started in Gold 5 and with me playing maybe a game or two at most i am already in my promos to Gold 3. I have had terrible games and i have had great ones and i bet that if i was in plat or diamond? as long as i kept like i currently am i would be climbing just as well.

I have said it before and i will say it again. To carry at ANY elo you have to improve yourself. It's not something exclusive to to certain elos, play better and you will climb. Refuse to improve and you will stay where you are or drop in rank. You decide what you want to do, climb? or stay where you are and possibly drop?

I always prioritize bot lane because they are the lane that is the most useless when behind. It's not so much that they'll carry it's that they are worth NOTHING if behind since ADCs are low utility. A feeding top can still build full tank. A feeding mid can still contribute CC and AOE damage, maybe even shields (if they wisely picked an AP mid). A feeding ADC does nothing but feed some more and a feeding support doesn't have the levels to tank or peel since they explode instantly.

My main issue with prioritizing them is that, in my experience, bottom lane is always warded. They have two champions so they can alternate warding trinkets, they can both purchase and place a pink ward, and the support will frequently rush Sightstone.

I find that it is typically easier to gank top-lane and mid-lane due to the nature of the lanes (mid-lane has a lot of available paths, top-lane is very long) and that they only have one trinket available.

Also, how dependent they are on winning lane greatly depends on the champions. If the support is Janna or Soraka and the ADC is Varus or Ashe, then they will have enough utility to contribute to the team even when behind.

You know how solo queue is tho: bot is always Vayne Blitzcrank or something. If that's the lane, Blitz is still useful if feeding but Vayne is definitely not. Even worse if it's Lucian instead of Vayne.

I do recognize that bot is frequently warded. I will usually either attempt a super early gank (3) or a level 6 gank with a wall jump either straight through lane or as a long flank to either avoid wards or make them irrelevant. However, do realize that if the enemy jungle gets a kill on bot, your job is much more uphill than a kill on other lanes.

I disagree that if support is Soraka or Janna they will be fine. Soraka or Janna derive ALOT of power from their ADC. If the ADC is feeding, who are they peeling for? The mid usually has significant self peel and can't output sustained damage (except for Azir/Cass/Ziggs/Karthus/Kayle) anyhow.

The best supports when the ADC is feeding is gonna be champs like Nautilus Brand Blitzcrank since they have damage output and CC, not just peel.

Yeah can't say I've been having this problem lol. I'm high gold and nearly all of my games have players deserving of their rank that play to win. Win or lose, I know that pretty much I deserve whatever the outcome was.

EDIT: this was not the case years ago when I was silver or bronze, matchmaking was awful. but that's bronze for you.

TL;DR "I am salty because I can't carry because my 1/2/2 teammates fed bot lane and took a tower and I can't even carry as a jungle because I can't git gud".

I would love to have teammates that were only 1/2/2

a fed botlane is worth nothing in soloq imo. except they got champs like MF,Vayne or Tristana.

BluePolarizer2 votes

oh np that's only the 3 most popular ADCs in the game.

Edyr4201 votes

had a game where i was 11/1/0 with varus and got roflstomped by a 3/5/2 annie i will never forget that day where i lost the hope in the balance of legue gg.

BluePolarizer1 votes

if you were 11/1/0 as Varus you should've just built a quicksilver sash item since the only possible threat to you is from enemy CCs.

Edyr4201 votes

i did, but the bust was still very high.
