LP gaining and losing
I don't really get this lp system. I win a game and get 12ish lp and I lose and there goes 25 lp. This system seems kind of counterproductive.

Don't know if you've heard about his, but Diamond 5 is the real Elo Hell. Over 70% of all diamond players are in diamond 5, likely due to the fact that because of the implementation of master tier and the discrepancy of MMR,wins never give more than 15 LP, while losses deduct around 25 LP. The more you bounce between victories and losses the lower the per game gets, often down to around 8-12 LP per game. So yeah, that's what we have to deal with
Your at a 49% win ratio which could be the main cause. Losing more than your winning at any elo points out maybe you should be lower since you cant win the majority of the time.
Oh so the system looks at your win rate when giving/taking lp? I never considered that thank you for your contribution.
From my experience yes, i gain 19lp lose 13lp right now with my win rate. If it drops under 50 i know im losing more than im winning.
thats why they call it elo hell
This generally means that your hidden MMR is lower than the division you are in. The system thinks you are higher than where you are currently playing at.
So lets say you are Gold III. You are gaining 10 LP per win and losing 25 per loss. This means your hidden MMR is lower than gold III level(gold IV, maybe even gold V) and you are getting punished harder because you are losing to players that are in a lower division you are. You will fall faster due to the increased losses and the system will theoretically place you in the correct MMR at a faster rate.
Lets use that same scenario and say you are getting 40 LP per win and losing 10 per loss. This means that you are playing and beating people above your division and getting rewarded for it by climbing at a faster rate due to the increased gains.
The closer you get to where you should be, the less you will see discrepancies in gains and losses of LP.
ranking dont matter its a game have fun. As long as u did your best u can never lose.
