Things There Is Just Way Too Much Of

Scaling, way too high, way too fast.

Base damage, way too high.

Cooldown Reduction, too much of it on premium items and masteries.

Damage items that provide defense.

Defense items that provide burst damage.

Critical strike chance.

Bounty.

Buffs that make the winning team stronger.

People who kill in a single rotation... especially early game.

Roaming and ganking.

True damage, way too much of it.

%HP damage, way too much of it.

Elitist Riot Employees talking down to their players because they dare complain.

"OMG UNBAN ME NOW" Threads.

Masteries that add insane active bonuses or extra damage.

Self healing/regeneration such as lifesteal or self healing mechanisms that remove the value of methodical harassment.

Among other issues.

Riot's employees, volunteers and staff will tell you, that you imagine all the problems because you are nostalgic. Once upon a time I fell for this. But the only person they are convincing is themselves. We've complained every step of the way, now they want to convince us we aren't at the bottom of the stairs, we never were at the top of the stairs. We just imagined it all.

So that they can push out their old player base who is demanding, and farm a new one for RP purchases.

You missed Knock Ups. It used to be a special mechanic, now every champion gets a knock up.

I just rejoined after a nearly two year hiatus, and I've definitely noticed a nagging issue; everyone can kill each-other in one rotation, even if no one is particularly fed or behind. Hell even with only a modest amount of damage built you can still erase someone.

This is particularly frustrating when you're trying to carry a team, because if you die to egregiously high base damage, you give up a level and a half worth of experience plus 3 and a half kills worth of gold, your team loses the fight, and the other team takes a tower because they're still pathetic and pop instantly.

The solution seems to be going on a magical PvE adventure wherein you split push for a free win >_>.

I don’t think crit is overabundant... There are only like 7 crit items, and you have to build 4 of them to get full crit.

I have to agree with the other things though. I feel like junglers are forced to gank because of the lack of camps. If you clear all your camps efficiently, you have no xp or gold gain w/o ganks for a solid minute or two, and that’s fairly often. Super high base damage is annoying as well, but that’s mostly situational.

Yeah, the nostalgia is gone, the snowball is back, and the burst meta is in excess.

I'm surprised you didn't add monster champions, bulky guys, and armored female champions to that list.

So basically what you're saying is: "League of Shitends 2019"? Because if so, I fully endorse your post. Could not upvote moar. I'm not being nostalgic. If the game hadn't changed so much, I'd probably still be playing it and spending small amounts of money in support of it (not a whale, don't need to be one and I wouldn't flex even if I were one).
