The First Minion wave can be obstructed. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? IT JUST WASNT A PROBLEM

THAT GOES AGAINST THEIR PHILOSOPHY

  • Trying to slow down the minion pacing from your inhinitor to lane was really FUN and Interesting thing to do. It just felt really good

  • It Added Variety and Strategy. You could slightly slow down your minions so the minions wouldnt meet in the middle (They would start fighting closer to your tower) or you could make the enemy lane push while not really moving the lane(Or both)

  • It had Clear Weakness. You have no idea where the enemy team starts and you cant invade/put deep wards for counter jungle in early game

  • If you made it so that enemy minions push to your side. Enemy WOULD HIT LVL 2 FIRST and we all know thats **insane powerspike **

  • If you body blocked them in a way where the lane would be moved slightly towards your tower they could hard counter it by pushing. Good luck farming as** Level 1 **under your own tower... Seriously I have had it backfire like this..

  • even if you manipulate lane this way Its not like your jungler ll make a level** 1-2 gank and abuse that aspect. **

  • Enemy team could do it to and whats the harm there? It was fun strategy. Seriously its not like there was no counterplay to that like enemy has to jump through 23123213 hoops to counter it

  • This Strategy existed when they buffed Globally Champions movemenspeed by 30 I believe just enough to make Champions faster then minions AND IT WAS NEVER A PROBLEM UNTIL NOW? Seriously???? Show me a Footage where this is A PROBLEM (We have had it for 2 years like this)

  • It works in **Dota2 **and It actually makes more sense to Work in League since its easier to push the wave here and it costs less mana

  • It made the game less boring.. You had something to do before the minions meet...

It feels like Riot has no idea what the fk are they talking about

Directly from the patch notes Lane Minions The first wave of minions can't be obstructed. Over the last few patches, we've seen a high-level strategy emerge where teams step in front of the first wave of minions near their inhibitors to control their pacing towards lane. While minion wave manipulation is a key point of mastery in the laning phase, successful execution of this tactic causes such an extreme advantage from the start that there's only one course of action - do it yourself, or fall behind.

This would mean the 'optimal' start in League is one where both teams start games inside their base, herding minions like hooded, gold-generating cats. As cute as that imagery is, the gameplay associated isn't - so we're removing it. WORK WORK The first wave of minions ignore unit collision on the way to lane

Show me that EXTREME ADVANTAGE... Moving a lane 400 range WAS SO BROKEN....

GUESS WHAT YOU CANT SHOW ME THE EXTREME ADVANTAGE BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER EVEN AN E OF EXTREME Try doing that against players who know what you are doing and just watch it godamn backfire

I would Prefer herding minions like hooded gold-generating cats ANYDAY OVER what we are doing now until minions meet WHICH IS GODAMN NOTHING except where ocasional Team with Blitz/naut/thresh/morg or whatever INVADES. **OH wait I shouldnt mention this NOW THEY LL THINK THIS IS A PROBLEM TO... UNFAIR ADVANTAGE ON START OH BOISS. **

Calm down ya dingo. This was actually really huge in bot lane match ups, because while one bot lane would leash their jungler, the other could just make the last minions slow down, so they would reach the enemy wave shorter, causing the others ones to be focused down and killed faster. In the TSM vs Renegades Game, Freeze and Hakuho did this, causing 2 melee minions to be focused down and cause a huge level advantage for them, while making Doublelift + Yellow hit lvl 2 only around the 3rd wave
