silvers and golds can be matched together and its possible that a gold and silver are duoed together

Rank play matches you with people of a similar mmr. Only Riot knows how to calculate mmr (op.gg gives an estimate though I'm not sure what that's based on).

If Gold players showing up in Silver elo games chances are they aren't that good as they are being matched with Silver players.

It looks like one of them afk'd or didn't show up as they don't have a kda listed for that game. The other one on your team fed their ass off.

Also, if not enough people at your elo have a similar mmr matchmaking will search for people to make the average mmr across both teams the same.

because silver players are meant to be abused by gold players

Your MMR is roughly Gold V at the moment.
