40% True Damage?

Yasuo w/ Conquerer+item 3031 will be fun to see.

Edit: possibly 36%, not 40%. My mistake.

Tryndamere Will have 100% crit with Ie and a zeal and have 40% true damage with Conqueror.

Anklespankin did a video. Easy 1v5 Penta under Nexus turrets. Not even full build. 1/3 of his total damage was true damage. Had roughly 4x more damage than the next closest person. Didn't get overly fed either early.

Not only would that Yasuo do the same thing pre-IE change but he did even less damage, and the IE changes actually gutted his early game along with the enem team comp being garbage. So I want you to explain how Yasuo is gonna be doing more damage now with conquerer and new IE when he doesn't even have the base AD damage to compensate the true damage percentage

Gutted his early game? Maybe. Pd into IE. Same build path and same item to total crit power spikes with slightly higher cost. 250% crit dmg vs 200% crit dmg plus 20% true damage is the question we are looking at. Ultimately it's harder to kill a squishy but easier to kill tanks. He's just going to move back to top lane I suspect.

Problem isnt yasuo as much as it is conquerer plus IE giving 40% additional true dmg esp with LW working off total armor now and the nerfs to health on tank items a while back. Anyone with this combo will kill tanks faster than ever. It's just way too much true damage at a point in the game where no one has enough defense stats to handle it. It's going to be a problem on a lot of champions not just yasuo. In fact I'm already thinking about how that plays out on other champions in top and jg.

In fact I like the change for yasuo balance for one major reason... You can't lifesteal off true damage from IE.

I don't think you realized that he can't hit 100% crit pre-IE purchase so he wont be moving into top lane any time soon. Not to mention he has huge reduced critical strike damage AND because of that he won't be doing that much true damage as well.

No, it's gonna be harder for both.

No, it's already been said that conquerer plus IE would actually lower damage which makes sure conquerer is made into a bruiser keystone. Conquerer would take physical damage dealt away from your auto attacks once it's procced so the IE true damage will do much less than normal. Another main reason why this is a Yasuo nerf.

True damage isn't even at that point. It's just widely available for Skirmishers and Bruisers, ADCs Junglers and Assassins still do not take Conquerer and only ADCs will build IE, but rarely due to the changes.

It nerfs Yasuo hard (i expect his winrate when the patch launches to drop to 44%) and the only champions it would be a problem on is 0. Yeah, no one is gonna get "broken" from it. Maybe Yi, but even the item made Critical Strike Yi impossible.

We shall see, my friend. I'd be happy if you were right tbh. One thing I think both of us can agree on is that Riot's decision making on these changes is...questionable.

100 × .80 = 80 80 x . 80 = 64

100-64=36

He should be closer to 36% true damage than 40% of past math trends hold true still

I thought it was additive, not multiplicative because, well, it's true damage - what you see is what you get, and I assumed that applied to both Conqueror and IE. My bad, sorry.

I don't have the exact numbers to back it up, but I imagine that the way their system is checking things now (because of the issues with recursive math and guinsoo) is going to be better suited to not be insane.
