Current state of Darius ?

So I'd like to hear people's thoughts on Darius's current state in the meta Atm. As a darius main I personally would like to say that he is in a "meh" or "ok" spot but I may come off as a little bias. Like his laning phase is decent and is probably where he shines best, though not as strong as prerework darius. But what I struggle on personally is outside of the laning phase cause as you all know many team comps are filled with champs that have hard cc or kiting tools like ezreal and lux making it easy to kite darius and just burst him before he can do anything. He's probably a solid pick in low elo since not many know how to play against him but In high elo I think it's a different story here.

always has been strong, always gonna be strong if you feel he's too strong then you have skill issue and if you think he's too weak you also have skill issue.

He was only nerfed very slightly, but considering that Lux and Ezreal are the most popular Mid Laner and ADC respectively, it's unsurprising. Yes, he is very powerful in lane phase, because of being a lane bully, and also having very few poor matchups due to how his kit is inherently designed. But with hard CC, kite, and high mobility being META right now, he's left in a really weird spot. He relies too much on his team getting a pick, since he needs to get up close to do anything, and he's hard CC shuts him down hard.

To simply put it; only pick him if your team has good pick potential and they lack Hard CC

WHAT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND IS DARIUS CAN BE KITED.

HE HAS NO CHASE POTENTIAL.

THERE ARE SOME CHAMPIONS THAT U SHOULDN'T JUST GET IN THEIR FACES.

Why play him when he's beaten by like every current meta top laner.

Hell god forbid anyone picks fiora vs you and doesn't have the skill level of a kumquat.

As a darius main myself, i can safely say, i think he is in a very good spot, having counterplay while also maintaining power and balance in the current meta so long as people understand you can kite.

Darius is currently tier3 as a toplaner in my opinion tier1-can be blind picked and dominate almost any matchup (fiora, GP, lulu) tier2-can hold the line against specific tier1 champs and dominate most other matchups (malph, lissandra, etc.) tier3-can do well against people who don't know how to play league of legends, or with a very specific teamcomp

in darius' case, if the enemy teamcomp consists of running at yours with limited range or CC, he can work well, otherwise you'll be useless against any team that knows how to kite and not feed you 5 bleed stacks in fights... and his laning phase is very average as well

he is probably good in certain melee matchups and teamcomps. he is not good in everygame. Easy to kite. He is strong with his flash E engage, but that's all. Unless he is fed, he can;t do much.

But he can carry games from top lane, just dominate your oponent and stay top and you can easy 1 vs 2 midgame;).Atleast that's how i play darius. As a splitpush. Let's say you are vs malphite and you dominate him in lane. You need to stay top and make the enemy team waste time on you;)..malphite is a god in 5 vs 5. even if he is not fed, he has a strong ulti;).Just stay top and pressure with him.

He is not op, and he is not weak. he is in a good spot. I've even beaten a darius as garen( and it was my first time garen). All you need to do is bait his Q and don't all in the darius. He will always win;)..just trade with him and back off;)..that's how you beat a darius.

As someone who never played Darius but mains Top and so play AGAINST Darius a lot: I'd say he is in a slightly below average spot. Not clearly underpowered, but could use a slight buff without it feeling stupid/unfair/etc.

And, he is still banned a lot in my games (silver ELO), and this is definitely not justified... He is not ban-worthy anymore, for at least 2 or 3 patches, maybe even more.

He's literally useless unless you have a comp around him or you're playing against shit players.

He's the definition of get camped get fucked, get fed get kited infinitely, get good wreck noobs until you face other good players.

If you want to play something like him pick Garen.

Demonstrated in lcs if you have the right teamcomp hes very weak and if you don't you can camp him so he doesn't get strong.

Darius is only strong late game if he has his passive activated he is very weak without it.

He needs a little something but still a safe pick. Just make sure your doing the counter pick or Gnar will eat you.
