There's two items that need to be buffed.

With games lasting only about 20 odd minutes these days, (Which is about the same time as ARAMS and Treeline, roughly anyhow,) There simply isn't enough time to build the stacks you need on to get either the or the it seems.

As Lux I built first and then rushed and upgraded the tear to . However by that point the game was already 25 minutes in and I STILL had not gotten enough stacks on it to get it to upgrade itself. And at this point we were already down to our inhib towers and I had been spamming spells all game. And my ROA still hadn't gotten stacked up either.

This is not another post complaining about how short matches are. I'm just saying that if our matches are going to be as short as they are, shouldn't items like these be buffed or atleast switch to their Definately not Dominion counterparts?

I am, but I'm also only in low silver so you can't expect me to play and build as well as platinum and up.

Building as well as plat and up is easy, just learn the items and look at some guides. it's the mechanics and decision making that's getting me stuck in silver.

build this first item 3802 and youll notice yourself being much stronger

item 3040 Isn't very good on lux, she doesn't need the mana and she doesn't have very spammable abilities. Champions such as Karthus Anivia Orianna Cassiopeia Ryze can stack the tear fast though

I really only got it because due to it's passive, it is the highest AP giving item in the game.

I mean they did reduce the stacks to 750 when they used to be 1,000 if I remember correctly.

Yeah but that was back when games actually lasted around half and hour and up. Now most games end before then and you don't get much time to stack anything.

As veigar I have to rush ROA as soon as possible or risk it only finishing it's stacks when a Nexus is about to blow up.

Want to know something fucking amazing? RUSHING ARCHANGEL'S DOUBLES THE STACK RATE WHILE ALSO GIVING YOU AS MUCH AP AS NOMICON!

If you're going to buy tear, Finish archangels immediately after. The 16 mana per 8 seconds instead of 8 mana per 8 seconds is HUGE. And because Awe gives AP based off of your max mana, you're guaranteed to get at LEAST 20 AP from it when you finish it, meaning you WILL get at least 100 AP. This means that if you rush the archeangel's you're going to spend 100 gold more for at least 20-40 more AP from it overall. Seriouslly, Rush Archangel's to completion before starting on another item. because it doesn't give mana for free over time anymore, it's very important to rush it so that you hvae the increased mana gain. The other pay off is that the Mana refund is WAY more potent on Archangels than on Tear.

Simply saying, "You should have finished Archangel's first to maximize the mana stacking." would have sufficed.

There's a reason for that buddy...

Lux isn't supposed to use Tear, the item has this kind of requirement for anyone that uses it, if you can't spam spells, you're better off with a item 3802 or in Lux' case a item 3028 isn't that bad since she can proc item 3174 effect on her allies when shielding.
