Harass Q on the enemy champion on-cooldown. Get Tanky. Kill stuff.
Each Q is worth between 21.5 and 64.5 gold, depending on hitting a champ vs hitting a champ + killing a siege minion. Once you are at 45% CDR, and your Q is either going to be killing 2 minions or hitting champions, it can easily be worth 400-800 gold/minute. Even at 0% cdr, as long as you either kill a minion or hit the enemy champion on-cooldown, it is worth a minimum of 184 gold/minute. Basically you build tanky as a buffer to just grow your AP until you are killing people. In the meantime, you are much harder to kill, as you are fast from deadman's plate, not squishy, and have the zhonyas clutch if you do get caught.
