Can we talk about this new item? Does anyone have any concerns with it at all?

Despite the 45 second cooldown, I'm a bit concerned that the item might be overpowered on Karma, as she has one of the lowest (if not, the lowest) ultimate cooldowns in the game...

QUICK THOUGHT EDIT: Would it be a good idea for the storm not being possible to summon, unless enemies (or enemy champions, at least) are near by? I can see the passive being wasted by a Karma that Mantra shields a few of her allies to get to certain objectives faster, getting back to lane faster, etc.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on this one. I liked the way it was before, tbh — just wanted the crit to be changed to AD. Not sure why they overhauled it.

Who is the target audience? It doesn't give any direct ability power anymore, but it is a very strong laning tool. Is this just for tanks like Alistar, Braum, Leona? Or maybe just champions with defensive ultimates? How short is the activation range? Unless your champion has an ultimate on a short cooldown, this seems marginal an item at best.

Don't know yet, but I can definitely see it being abused by Karma. I don't think it's intended to be a laning tool by any means — so much as an effective teamfight tool, like Redemption.

If you ask me, I can't say I see tanks building this very often when they have other options aimed at tanks specifically, like Face of the Mountain, Righteous Glory, Knight's Vow, etc.

I thought the same thing initially, but I'm pretty sure they were wanting to nerf Karma regardless. Some people seem to think she's too strong in her current state.

All in champs with a melee range ult seem like the obvious target audience. Doesn't have health so tank supports might not use it all that much, atleast not as a rush item.

I thought of Rakan about as soon as I thought of Karma, as well.

I don't think karma will use it. People underestimate how op ardent censor and redemption + aegis is on champs that gives heals and shields. It's to the point that this item probably won't be built at all by the likes of karma or janna/nami/lulu. Ardent censor is pretty much giving your adc a bloodthirster and then Aegis and Redemption gives more shields then a fed support brand can output. This item is probably designed for tanks like braum and leona/thresh/tahm to be playable without being at a massive disadvantage later in the game. Plus from the looks of it the item activates in a small area around the user so you have to be melee range for it to really work it seems and you have to have cc to keep people there for your team to hit them.

Or you could just build them all as you normally would? Who says you have to replace one of the items in the core build path? More than anything, the new Zeke's still feels a bit situational to me. For instance, if I'm having issues with melees jumping on my carries, and I need bonus peel, I can see the new passive helping with that sort of thing.

If the PBE changes go through, there will be 3 paths for item 3105 now: item 3190 item 3050 item 3060

Tank supp will still build item 3190 , and given that it will scale with bonus HP, they will not build other two items that have no HP.

Enchanter that will build the new item 3050 will probably be Sona since it is basically another version of her Q aura for her ally after she ult.

Also, how many mana/ armor items do we really need anyway? item 3110 item 3050 item 3025

It gives CDR, mana, armor, and MR. Seems like a really good item to rush on Karma, imo — maybe as a first or second item (no later than second after Redemption or something).

Looks like Riot might be intending this one for tanks, then, but I can definitely see this being used by Karma frequently, as she's a bit of an in-your-face mage (as I like to say). Here we go.

She is definitely mobile enough to make use of the storm to a certain degree, but I assume initation tanks like Leona, Ali, Rakan, maybe Blitz or even Braum will make the most out if this.

I can see the reasoning behind this change/idea, but honestly they have enough items already. And Rightous will be tweaked to be better on them too! What tanks and all supports in general need is to have access to all 6 itemslots. Sadly Control Wards still occupy the 6th.... A trinket or even beeing able to store 1 Control Ward in the Ruby Sightstone would finally free this itemslot....

Oh and games that dont end before 25 mins xD

It sounds too complicated personally. Support items were always flashier than other roles to make up for the unpopularity, but they're going overboard with this. Still, it's one of those items I can't judge until I see them in game.

My biggest question though is what happens if I build it on udyr? Not that anyone ever would but considering he is the only champ in the game I can think of without an ultimate how the hell would it work if at all?

Just by looking at it, it's likely going to be a heavy technique item.

Of coarse the bad part about it is, that it will ultimately get balanced around who ever is able to abuse it the best, while making it sub optimal for all other levels of play. (Riot: due to it's success in pro play, we need to nerf Zeke's. Boards: WTF Zeke's is fine. )
