Ain't Infinity Edge overpriced?

item 3031 3700 gold / 80 AD item 1038 1300 x 2 = 2600 gold / 80 AD So IE's passives costs 1100 gold???

The fact that it requires you to build crit in order to be useful this price doesn't make sense

IE got true damage conversion on crits but it felt like i was doing pretty mediocre damage vs tanks

It's the same thing with Deathcap.

Both NGL give 60 AP for 1250. So the 40% AP passive costs 1100.

but the 40% ap applies on the 120 ap it gives which makes it giving 168 ap on buy

120 * 1.4 = 168 AP which is around 3696 gold you get this AP instantly after you finish deathcap and there is no requirement for that

You get nothing if you finish Infinity Edge unless you have Zeal item which is another 1300 gold cost

No, it isn't. It's actually broken vs tanks.

If they took out the x2 crit chance, and left it as is (with the true dmg proc) it would be nice. But as it stands riot forces you to buy an attack speed crit item in order for it to be useful

It gets massive value with other items. you cant just compare it by itself. If you got 2 item 1051 on top that's giving you 20% free crit or 1200g in value already, which means you get more than the initial passive cost plus all the benefits from here on out for free
