Best champions for placements?

Hi, i can play any lane really but bot lane and i have been wondering what types of champions have the most impact on the outcome of the game. I have been playing rumble some, and brought him into one of my placements, doing pretty well i went, 12-6-16 or something like that maybe it was 8 deaths, im not sure but that was the score about. However i was unable to carry other than in team fights, i didnt have enough power to split push since i was AP, and couldn't secure many objectives opposed to if i was a ad champion. My team did not want to push lanes or anything so i tried, but often didnt get very far without me having to escape death lol. Do you guys agree with my champion selection for carrying solos? I enjoy rumble a lot and it'd suck to hear hes not the best pick haha. I also like talon, but i want to play VI too since most low elo junglers arent the best. But some higher ranked player (d4) was telling me not to have so many roles and stick to just like 2, which i sort of disagree with but i can understand his point. I do currently play many champs, and want to narrow it down so i agree with him in that way a little.

help me?

  1. Play your best champion
  2. Play what your team needs - the diamond player saying to play just 2 roles is crazy. It might work in plat+, but in silver if you ask for top/mid when you're last pick you'll hear "you're support" way more often than not.
  3. If any of your best champions are popular, that's good. Your teammates (who are likely also doing placements and some may not have played for long) will know how to play with them.
  4. Don't be afraid of going your Vi, as a jungler your team will respect your objective calls more (I've never had a bot Lane refuse to go to Dragon after i ganked them for kills, and rarely if we force a recall unless they want to get the tower).
  5. With Rumble, look for opportunities to tele bot for a gank and take Dragon off of it.

Not sure on this one but I've tried it a couple times with success:

  1. Phrase things like they benefit your teammates. E.g. if you want to get first Dragon soon say "first Dragon bonus will help our adc a lot" - i would bet your adc is going to want to Dragon now.

Best champions for placements?

The best champions are the ones you are best at. It's that simple.

Of course, you might not have the best splitpushing or objective securing because a lot of times you're not supposed to be doing that. Certain champion are good at certain things, like splitpushing, and some aren't and securing the Dragon is supposed to be the responsibility of the jungler anyway, not the Top Lane Rumble.

suck to hear [rumble is] not the best pick .... But some higher ranked player (d4) was telling me...

Don't listen to him; he's an idiot.

If you fear your team not pushing then play Tryndamere - endless pusher

Ty guys, and i understand that but in my placements so far no one has any awareness of anything and objectives are just getting kills. dragon doesnt exist to them, thats what my main issue is. i find it hard to carry when noone is doing what they should be lol.
