Riot, did you know...

That reinforcement is tons more efficient than any form of punishment, you guys have negative and positive punishment, but the type doesnt matter, because studies show any type of punishment works less than reinforcement. So how about start rewarding the good players, and quit being so obsessed with bans. me saying FUCK SHEN (the champion, but the shen in the game was my friend too) and getting banned from an automated system that cant detect banter, or context is ridiculous. And maybe you'd have less truly toxic players in your games if you didnt have a ban fetish, look up the facts that reinforcement is 10000000000x more effective than punishment. And now that you're punishing instantly with out even knowing whats going on is ridiculous.

oh and if swearing is against the rules, then why is it not insta blocked? im pretty sure its not bannable though unless used as an insult

I very much doubt you were banned for saying fuck Shen.

Who said that? Why use a straw man fallacy, and thats not how reinforcement works. Why would it work that way? you're obviously toxic and need banned (according to you) if the first thing you think when i say reinforcement is the words "kill themselves"

Do you realize how ridiculous and toxic what i just said sounded? Rethink what you say. reinforcing good behavior, is not equal to giving people free things for saying kill your self.... something silly and simple works anyway like a badge or something. Doesnt mean give a free champion..

....thats what you think not reality lol... you dont think there should have to be an incentive not to insult people? Do you think we live in a perfect world then? and why would you rather we have a system that puts people down, and hurts them instead of something that makes people happy and not toxic. doesnt make sense, you want people to suffer?

Isn't that what they did this past end-of-season? They specifically said, and acted on, the premise that if you did not do anything negative that would warrant a chat/rank ban that they gave out free skins. Just because they include a negative consequence does not mean they don't include positive reinforcements. Likewise, I reward my daughter for doing good but I don't spare punishment if she willingly disobeys - you do both and emphasize the positive reinforcement. To do one without the other doesn't produce positive results.

And when you specifically go against the rules after all this time (and all the complaints), it's willing disobedience.

the behavior changed from punishment goes extinct tons quicker than reinforcement. And im not sure if skins after a long time of waiting is a good way to do it, i think something that you can see regularly and stuff is the best way to reinforce like a badge or what ever lol. and im not saying get rid of punishment, im saying get rid of this retarded system that is obsessed with punishment that insta bans you for banter. i swear once about a champion and i get a 14 day ban wtf im just not going to play anymore, the behavior they just got rid of was not me being toxic or what ever, its me playing league. me getting banned has only changed me to quit league again, like i did last year for a year and ill do it again.

So, do you have a problem with negative reinforcement or specifically how they've tried positive reinforcement? Because you can see that they've tried both. If a free skin for not being toxic (not even nice, just the bare minimum of not getting in trouble) for a year isn't incentive, a badge that gives no benefit whatsoever is going to change people's attitude? I would argue that something tangible is much more appealing.

You posted a number of days ago about your tendency to become toxic during games when people don't respond the way you want them to after you give them suggestions: I doubt you were banned for a one-time event. Take a step back and assume it isn't the system and really judge whether or not your statements and actions reflect who you are as a person. If they are: you may want to look more critically at your actions. If they aren't: bring them more in line with how you act towards people in your everyday life.

What? Seriously, what?

What bans?

What obsession?

Are we talking about League of Legends? Or maybe Riot has different game?

Riot and bans are 2 opposite things.
