I think that would be a better stat distribution since shielders/healers rely heavily on their spells to keep their adc from feeding :P

I feel like, if you really need more mana regen than that, you should have to dedicate other items for it. You have plenty of good options for that on a healer/shield support, so it shouldn't be that big of an issue.

yea because supports have the luxury of steady income to afford multiple items per game., after completing t2 boots, sighstone and gold income item, plus pinks and pots.

challenge accepted... item 1004 DONE! it's extremely cheap and builds into quite a few items that supports love. You don't need to outright buy an entire item just that one single item and then just build up from there
